Jungwon walked through the dark, empty streets of his own world. The plan they had crafted was dangerous, but it seemed like the only way to stop Yeonjun. Each step he took felt heavy with the weight of fear and uncertainty. He was terrified of what awaited him, but he knew he had to be brave.
As he walked, the rustling sounds started, faint at first but growing louder with each step. Jungwon's heart pounded in his chest. He knew exactly where those sounds were coming from.
He was here.
Jungwon stopped and took a deep breath, his voice trembling as he called out into the darkness.
"You can come out, Yeonjun. I know you're watching me."
For a moment, there was no response, only the silence of the night. Jungwon's fear threatened to overwhelm him, but he forced himself to keep talking.
"I'm not afraid of you. In fact, I'm glad you're here. I... I was hoping you'd show up."
Suddenly, Yeonjun appeared behind him, so close that Jungwon could feel his warm breath on his neck.
His eyes widened in fear, but before he could react, Yeonjun smiled, catching him off guard.
"You're happy I'm around?" He asked, his tone almost casual, as if they were old friends.
Jungwon nodded hastily, his mind racing. "Y-yeah, I am."
Yeonjun's smile grew curious. "And why is that?"
Jungwon's mind went blank for a second. He scrambled for an answer, his heart pounding in his chest. "I... I missed you."
Yeonjun tilted his head, his eyes narrowing slightly. "You missed me?"
Jungwon nodded again, his voice steadier now. "Yes, I did. Despite everything, I.. couldn't stop thinking about you."
For a moment, Yeonjun seemed to consider his words, his expression unreadable. "Interesting," he finally said. "I didn't expect that."
Jungwon visibly gulped, Then, out of nowhere, the words tumbled from his lips, surprising even himself. "I want to come with you."
Yeonjun's smile didn't waver as he studied Jungwon with an almost predatory curiosity. "Why the sudden change of heart?" he asked.
"I... I don't know," Jungwon whispered, barely audible.
Yeonjun chuckled, a low sound that sent chills down Jungwon's spine. He stepped closer, his breath warm against Jungwon's ear.
"You don't know?" he teased, his voice dripping with amusement. "Or is it that you're just trying to buy time, hoping for a miracle?"
Jungwon's heart pounded harder. "No," he said, forcing himself to meet Yeonjun's gaze.
Yeonjun's eyes sparkled with a mixture of amusement and something darker. He reached out, his fingers brushing against Jungwon's cheek. "Interesting," he murmured again, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through Jungwon. "Very interesting."
Jungwon held his breath, feeling the intensity of Yeonjun's gaze. He knew he was walking a dangerous line, but he couldn't back down now.
"I want you to prove it," Yeonjun suddenly said. "Prove that you're not fooling me right now."
Jungwon's pulse quickened, fear and determination warring within him. "How?" he asked.
Yeonjun came even closer. "Kiss me," he whispered, his voice a soft.
Jungwon's mind went blank. He couldn't kiss Yeonjun. He didn't want to and he couldn't.
Panicking, he took a step back, shaking his head slightly.
