"Jungwon," Jay said, his gaze locking onto mine, "Can I... can I kiss you?"Jungwon |
My heart raced when Jay asked to kiss me. It felt like a big moment, full of feelings.
Standing there, holding his hand in the rain, I felt a mix of emotions. I wanted to move forward, but I wasn't sure how.
"Y-yeah" I said, sounding a bit nervous. "But can we promise to always be honest with each other?"
Jay nodded, and I felt a sense of relief.
The city sounds faded away as we talked, and it was just us, ready to take a step toward.
With a small smile, we leaned in. Our lips met, and for a moment, everything else around us disappeared.
The taste of his lips lingered on mine as we pulled away. There was a gentle warmth spreading inside me, but uncertainty also crept in. What did this kiss mean for us?
As Jay looked at me, his eyes held a depth of emotions. But still, my mind raced with questions. Did he feel the same way? Was this the right thing to do?
I wanted to say something, but the words eluded me.
Jay broke the quiet with a teasing grin. "Well, that was something."
I chuckled. "Yeah, it was."
He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, his touch sending a shiver down my spine. "Let me take you home."
As we walked through the streets, I couldn't help but steal glances at Jay.
Eventually, we reached my doorstep. The awkwardness of the situation hung in the air. Jay leaned in, and before I could fully comprehend, his lips met mine again.
As he pulled away, a playful smirk played on his lips. "Goodnight, Jungwon."
"Goodnight," I replied, my heart still racing as he disappeared into the night.
Closing the door behind me, I rested against it, trying to process the whirlwind of emotions.
My face was warm, and I could feel a blush creeping up. Jay had just kissed me, not once but twice, and it was sinking in.
My heart raced like it had run a marathon.
For a moment, I questioned if it was real. Did Jay regret it? The fact that he kissed me a second time sent a reassuring warmth through my veins. Maybe, just maybe, he felt something for me, too.
I couldn't deny the excitement bubbling within me. It was my first kiss, and it felt like fireworks exploding in my chest. I wondered if this was what people meant when they talked about sparks.
Then, realization hit me: I liked it. The gentle touch of Jay's lips on mine made my heart sing. But what did that mean for us?
Entering my room, I still had mixed feelings. Jay being a vampire brought worries. Could we be together? It seemed dangerous and complicated.
But I decided not to think about it for now. I should enjoy the happiness of making up after our fight.
I didn't want to let worries about the future ruin the connection between Jay and me. We had something more than friendship, and I wanted to see where it could go.

In the past weeks, I had been unsure whether what I felt for Jay was more than just friendship. Now it was clear-this connection was deeper. But I didn't know what Jay thought. Did he see us as more than friends, too?
The next day at school, Yeonjun and I sat down in the cafeteria again. The atmosphere felt a bit awkward after our previous conversation about Jay, but I was determined not to let it affect our friendship.
He looked at me with a hopeful smile, "Hey, Jungwon, do you want to hang out today?"
"I... I'm sorry, but I can't. I've been pretty busy lately."
Yeonjun pouted, "I've been asking you every single day if you have time, but every day you say you're busy."
I sighed, feeling guilty for not being honest with him. "I'm sorry, Yeonjun. I didn't mean to avoid you. I just have a lot to do."
Curiosity flashed in his eyes. "And what is that?"
My mind raced for an excuse. "I have to help my mother today," I stuttered. "It's my grandpa's birthday tomorrow, and we're organizing a little celebration for him."
Yeonjun raised an eyebrow. "Your mother needs help for that?"
I nodded, trying to sound convincing. "Yeah, it's a surprise, and she wanted me to assist her."
He crossed his arms, a playful smirk on his face. "You're a terrible liar."
"I'm not lying! It's a family thing."
He shrugged, "Okay, okay. Have fun with your family celebration. Maybe next time you can spare some time for your friends."
I felt a mix of relief and guilt. I hated lying to Yeonjun, but I couldn't risk telling him about meeting with Jay.
I don't want him to feel like I'm taking advantage of him for anything, so lying was the best option.
Despite the awkwardness with Yeonjun, I focused on the positive energy from the night before with Jay.
After doing my homework, I headed towards our usual meeting spot. He was waiting there, his presence instantly calming my nerves. We decided to spend the afternoon exploring the city together.
"Hey, how was school today?"
I let out a dramatic sigh, "Ugh, it was tiring. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to go to school anymore."
He chuckled, a glint of amusement in his eyes.
"Do vampires also need to go to school?"
"Well, they do, but it's a bit different."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Different how?"
Jay explained, "Vampire kids go to school too, but only from the age of 6 to 14. It's not like your typical school. No math or unnecessary subjects. Instead, they learn how to be a vampire."
My eyes widened with fascination. "Really? What exactly do they learn?"
"They focus on practical skills - how to defend themselves, navigate the supernatural world, control their vampire abilities, and all these things."
"Wow, that sounds way more interesting than what we learn. I'm really amazed."

"You know, Jungwon, I've been thinking. If vampires had yearbooks, you'd be voted 'Most Irresistible Human.'"I rolled my eyes, trying to hide the smile creeping onto my face. "Really? Is that a thing among vampires?"
He nodded dramatically. "Absolutely. We even have categories like 'Best Human Smile' and 'Most Enchanting Eyes.' You'd be nominated for all of them."
I laughed, feeling a blush creeping up my cheeks. "Do vampires actually have yearbooks?"
Jay winked, "That's a secret, my dear."
Just then, a voice cut through the air, mocking and unmistakably familiar.
"Who do we have here? Did our precious Jungwon finally find himself a boyfriend?"
