Three royal families living together in one castle; one of blue roses, one of pink roses, and one of yellow roses. The castle itself was quite the big thing for a beautiful kingdom in the Caribbean's sunny and lush green lands, with its tall towers and cream-colored roofs that had many mural images of family crests and stained glass windows for certain rooms.

The vibrant colors that came through the golden sun's rays were like that of a darling mother's smile as song always seemed to fill its brick walls as staff ladies were walking to and fro, trying to catch up to young boys that weren't to far away from where a young girl was sitting at her window sill while she was reading her latest book being taught by her governess.

For sure, she was listening and feeling the softest of breezes in her hair, but damn her young cousins that even dared to step even one foot to her lesson room, it made her brain fry with exhaustion as her not paying attention only made the lesson go on for just a bit longer as her mother, an older princess, only commanded. While it was "for the sake of her daughter's education", her daughter was more than wanting the urge to pound her head on the table desk she was sitting at, if only to make it louder than the annoying governess's voice.

Of course she knew that the older woman cared for her, and was practically wiser than her, the young princess still couldn't focus. So, she began to tangle up her curly locks for a bit. The tender touch of her milk chocolate-colored fingers twirling through her ebony-colored curls was a soothing method that helped her softly sigh as her deep brown eyes drifted towards the stained glass that was just above a bookshelf filled with God-knows-what, the familiar colors softly shining through the sun's rays as it made her eyes sparkle with warmth.

The images of rose royalty before her, along with the horses that had no names only made her think of how fast they could run, how soft their pelts must feel, how much those riders smiled, and why flowers bloomed around them.

The thoughts were almost heavenly as it seemed to drown out her teacher's words, only hearing muffles as the young princess daydreamed about prancing around with a crown of pink flowers on her head, touching her horse's heart, and looking into it's beautiful eyes that could only belong to that of an angel.

"Clarissa," a voice spoke out, breaking the little girl out of her lovely dream by slapping a book on her table, Jesus Christ! The princess who was named Clarissa only lifted her head as her eyes widened with shock, even her heart sped up and skipped a few beats when looking at her governess.

Unfortunately, she did not receive one who was like a fairy godmother or her own mother, instead, with the woman's brown hair and almond-shaped eyes, one would've thought that the daydreaming princess received a witch as her teacher.

"Are you listening?" was a frequent question that Princess Clarissa was asked, it was something that many teachers in her royal education asked to a point where the girl wanted to cover her ears and jump out the window while using a curtain as a parachute.

Honestly, it was something that any ten-year-old would think of. And while her mind was screaming "No, get me out of here", her pretty eyes gazed at the lesson, quickly recalling almost everything that was being taught that day.

"Yes ma'am, I am." she answered, her voice as bright as ever, much like her wonderful mother who the governess respected and admired. The governess could clearly see the fact that her young student was possibly lying as there was a drop of sweat coming from the back of her neck as the princess's hands were busy rubbing it out of habit. "You were talking about the history of the family crest? Specifically, the one from my mother's side."

"You may have to work on that 'talking' when it should be 'speaking', but yes, it is about your family's lineage." the governess replied, going back to the lesson while the princess was still a bit weary of hearing her full name, as Princess Clarissa Rosemary A'varae was insanely formal, and she'd rather prefer Clara for the sake of not freezing up when meeting nobles and other royal children her age who she never really got along with as they only spoke of how they'll run the kingdom or how they'd fall in love with princesses and princes at least a few years older than them.
