The Gala & Meeting Donna

Kelly severide p.o.v

We are a few days later and today is the weekend, when I come downstairs I hear maxime ranting at someone on the phone

"Why should I come to your wedding, no Eddie check it out I'm not coming I have other plans tonight" she says to Eddie whoever that may be

"Everything okay?" I ask Maxime

"Not really my ex fiancé who wanted to know if I wanted to come to his wedding but already have something else" she says

"The gala?" i then say and she nods yes

" Uuhm would you please be my date for tonight. ?" she asks me

"And then I'll really leave you in peace my dad who has a room ready for me so I can go stay there now" she rattles off after that

"from me you can stay as long as you like and shay certainly won't mind if you stay" I say

"And yes sure I want to be your date she" I say and then we talk about what color her dress is.

Later in the evening she comes down with shay behind her with her heels in her hands

"this runs so nice but a little nauseous from spiral staircase" says Maxime

"Would you like some soda that will help with the nausea? "I ask Maxime and she nods

After she finishes it we have to go, in the car shay drives and Maxime and I sit in the back, when we are almost there maxime puts on her heels and shay parks the car

" Who is not drinking tonight? " shay asks us

" I don't drink much anyway, maybe a glass of wine and that's it " says Maxime to us

And then we join the group and the gala begins, halfway through the gala, maxime and I have danced a bit and then I whisper in her ear.

" I know a very nice place we can go " I suggest

" yes that sounds good, but we shouldn't stay there too long I start my new job tomorrow

" it's not at the fire station is it?" I ask maxime

"no I closed that chapter yesterday and it's, at a car wash" says Maxime

I arranged for shay to stay at Dawson's tonight, when we get to the beach Maxime says

"I'll just take off my heels" she says as she sits down on a bench as she takes off her heels, I take hold of her heels in my other hand and in my other hand I feel her fingers entwined in mine, after walking on the beach for half an hour we decide to go home.

The next morning I wake up early and make some breakfast for the two of us and hot chocolate via casey's Recipe and walk into the bedroom with a tray and set the tray down gently and press little kisses on maxime's cheeks and notice that it wakes her up.

"oh breakfast that's nice of you kelly severide" says Maxime taking a bite of her croissant

"I'll take you to work in a minute then you have to see how you get home because I'm on duty after that too" I say

"Tonight I meet donna" says Maxime as she takes a sip of the chocolate milk

"oh that's very good say who thought of this?" asks maxime as she gets up and starts her hair

"From my best friend casey I can ask if he can give me a little with it for you" I say to maxime as I get dressed too.

As we sit in my car "What kind of shift do you actually work?" maxime asks me

"24 hours shifts and then 48 hours off" I say to Maxime

"And what are gonna be your times ?" i ask maxime

" Just from open to close and that is until 8 am to 8 pm" maxime says to me

And then we say goodbye and I drive to the fire station and when I arrive

"Where is maxime?" asks shay to me

"Also working at the car wash" I say to shay and then the bell rings

Maxime p.o.v

After my first shift at the car wash I am quite a bit tired, but quickly to the apartment I share with kelly and Shay , once I have changed my clothes and then I am on my way to the restaurant.

When I get there I park my car and then just as I am about to get out I get a message from shay

Saturday barbecue of the fire department and you are also invited on behalf of Kelly

And then I respond that I am there

And then I walk in

"Ah girl give me a hug" says my dad and gives him a hug

"Maxime this is donna, Donna this is maxime my daughter from my first marriage" I say and introduce the 2 to each other and then we take a seat and order drinks.

"Where are you from" donna asks me

"From los angels" I say

And then donna asks me more questions

"And why did you come back from los angels?" asks donna after we order food

"uh I caught my ex fiancé with my best friend" I say to donna

"But  how did you get to know each other?" I ask donna

" Your father and his men saved me , and then I stopped by the fire station and thanked him again and that's how we found each other "' Says donna and I nod my head

" Well thank you very much for the food and the invitation " I say as I put on my coat and then give them both a hug and leave for the apartment , when I am in my car I kick off my heels and then I start the car and leave.

Back in the apartment I see Kelly and shay already sitting and grab a wine

" How was dinner with your dad and his girlfriend ?" Asks shay to me as I sit down next to her

" Pretty okay, nice woman I like her " I say after taking a sip of my wine , and then i say goodnight to them.

Middle of the night i wake up to a nightmare and see that kelly is running in to my room and trying to calm me down when he has calmed me down i ask him to stay the night.
