According to the original author of this story, You Again was based on her best friend's sister's love story. Meaning, the happenings before Marissa and Freen's wedding happened in REAL LIFE. However, the real person behind the characters portrayed by Marissa and Freen really GOT MARRIED but since this is a fanfiction, she wanted the main characters in this story to have their own endgame so she did gave them one.
Also, the events that took place after Freen and Marissa's wedding up until the last chapter are all fictional. Well, except Miguel. That monkey was real as fuck.
