Cloudtail left his den and went into the clearing. The dew covered grass soaked his paws as he walked. He would wait for more signs from star clan before he went on this "quest "."CLOUTAIL!!!!!!" cloudtail jumped back. It was squirrelpaw. squirrelpaw always a "delight" he thought. "I want to go hunting." she said "ok" said cloudtail. The clan needed fresh kill anyway. Squirrelpaw and cloudtail padded out of the gorse tunnel. Cloudtail heard a mouse scuffling in the tall grass. Cloudtail was sneaking up on it quietly making sure not to scare it. "CLOUDTAIL!!" Squirrelpaw screamed scaring the mouse away. "What" cloudtail moaned. "move faster" she said. "I was trying to stalk up on this mouse until you came and ruined my catch" he scolded. "But can you hurry up" she said."you have to be patient when stalking up on a mouse" he said" "uhg" complained squirrelpaw. They were coming back to camp squirrel paw had caught a plump vole and Cloudtail caught a rabbit. They added it to the fresh kill pile. Later in the day cloudtail chose a sparrow from the fresh kill pile,and finished it in a few gulps. By then the evening patrol was leaving the camp. The elders were telling the apprentices tales of lion clan while the Warriors were sharing tongues, and the kits were play fighting outside the nursery. Everything seemed peaceful except to cloudtail.his heart was racing. What if this is all a mistake he thought. But star clan was never wrong.the warriors started to settle down for a good nights rest except for cloudtail how could he sleep when all this was going on.
