The two nights he had to spend at the hospital took their toll on Namjoon. Sure, he had the sweetest nurses and the greatest doctors taking care of him, and the members visited as soon as visiting hours started, but besides that, all Namjoon could do was lie in his hospital bed and blow up the scenarios in his head. Like that, he completely failed to get the rest he needed.

He knew things weren't done yet, he knew that man would be coming for him again. It was only a matter of time, wasn't it? The police were having so much trouble finding the guy, after all. And all Namjoon could think about were the horrible worst-case scenarios once the man got to him again.

The first night Namjoon had slept for a few hours, but only because he physically couldn't keep himself awake any longer after the exhausting - and frankly traumatizing - day. He had fallen asleep despite not wanting to. The dreams he had in those few hours were filled with nightmares. First, they were about the stalker following him through the streets, but they changed into Hoseok and Jin being hurt, and later even the maknaes and Yoongi. And he couldn't do anything to help them, because he was stuck, or held down, or he just couldn't move in his dream.

During the day that followed, Namjoon was quiet. When the members visited, he wordlessly asked for as many hugs as they could give him. As many people knew, that wasn't a very usual thing for him to do. Sure, he accepted hugs when they were given and gave them when he saw someone needed it, but he wouldn't easily ask for them himself.

The members knew he was having a hard time, so they didn't joke about it and hugged him whenever he wanted. Taehyung even insisted on staying next to him in the bed, even though that was far from allowed.

Namjoon didn't eat much that day, mostly because his concussion made him feel sick to the stomach, but he guessed that the anxiety running through his body also didn't do his appetite any good.

The day blended into night easily, and that second night at the hospital, Namjoon didn't sleep. Not even a second. He had refused the painkillers that evening, saying he was feeling better and didn't need them. The opposite was true; the pain was borderline unbearable and the only reason he didn't take the painkillers was because he knew they would make him sleepy and he was not going through another minute of those nightmares.

This left him exhausted, however, when he was finally allowed to leave the hospital.

Adding to that, walking upright with a straightened back was a pain in the ass because of the bruising around his stomach. He had to take it very slow, agonizingly so. He had to constantly lean onto Jin as the elder led him through the hospital and to the car that was waiting at a back entrance so they could leave quietly.

"Have you slept today?" Jin asked once they were driving. He and Yoongi were the ones who came to pick him up, the others had stayed at the dorm.

"No..." Namjoon said honestly. "I was anxious."

Jin grimaced, but didn't say anything. What could he say? 'You have to sleep Namjoon-ah', duh, Namjoon knew that. Jin knew there wasn't really a right thing to say, so he just stayed quiet. Yoongi had already dozed off in the backseat.

The ride home was unsurprisingly quiet, the radio turned down low to not bother Namjoon's head too much. His headaches weren't any better yet.

They softly talked about what they were going to do at home, and Jin told him the maknaes had taken the task upon themselves to cook a welcome home dinner. Hoseok was supposed to supervise them. Namjoon knew that probably couldn't be going very well and he mentally prepared himself for the chaos he would be coming home to.

"A welcome home dinner? I've been at the hospital for two days," Namjoon chuckled softly. "It's not as if I've been gone for long."

"They have missed you more than you can imagine," Jin replied.

Namjoon's smile fell, realizing what those words meant. "I've been worrying you guys, haven't I?"

Jin shrugged. "Well, yeah, but that's not your fault. It's only logical that we think about you and hope you're okay. You're our leader, you're family. And family worries and cares for each other, right?"

Namjoon smiled again. "Right."

They got home without much trouble, the only thing being the horrible traffic in Seoul. A car ride that could take half an hour took an hour and a half, but they were used to it and didn't complain.

"Yoongi, wake up," Jin called out to the rapper in the back.

Yoongi was seated with his arms crossed and his head leaning back against the headrest, but his eyes opened when he heard Jin calling his name. "We're here?"

"Yup!" Jin said.

The three of them got out of the car, and Jin helped Namjoon walk again, Namjoon holding onto his shoulder to steady himself as they walked. His own shoulder was still hurting, but it was only bruised and it wasn't keeping him from walking straight. It really was his stomach that was hurting him the most... god, what two good punches could do to him. Okay, he was also slammed into a wall, but-

"You're so sloooow Namjoon-ah!" Jin teased him.

"Well, what did you think?!" Namjoon bit back, though he wasn't angry.

"We might need to get you a walker."

"Yah! I'm not a grandpa!" Namjoon yelled, though it hurt his head to do so. "Fuck, okay, I can't yell. That hurts."

"Whoops... sorry," Jin laughed apologetically.

They walked up to their building and went inside and Namjoon let out a relieved sigh once they were in the elevator and he could rest for a few seconds. A few seconds, really, because their dorm was only a few floors up and the doors 'ding!'ed open sooner than Namjoon would like.

"Okay, last bit and then you can lie on the couch for however long you want," Jin encouraged him as they walked to their door.

"Just be prepared for all of them fussing over you for the next few days," Yoongi said with a chuckle.

Namjoon chuckled, shaking his head. "I'm sure Taehyungie and Kook aren't going to leave my side."

"Oh, they won't," Jin laughed. "They've been arguing about who would sleep in your room. It's been a heated debate for two days straight."

"And who won?" Namjoon chuckled.

"Crazy enough, neither of the two. Yoongi won."

Namjoon looked at Yoongi with an amused grin. "Aww, hyung, really?"

Yoongi blushed and waved his hand. "It's nothing, forget it."

"He argued how he has known you the longest, how he is the quietest sleeper, how he knows exactly what to-"

"Hyung, stop it! Don't say another word!" Yoongi whined.

Jin laughed his windshield wiper laugh and even though it hurt his head, Namjoon enjoyed hearing the sound.

"Okay, here we... are..." Jin trailed off when they stopped in front of their front door. He looked confused, the happy grin slowly fading. "Ehm. Why is the door open?"

"That's not right, it's supposed to close by itself, it shouldn't stay open," Namjoon mumbled, looking at the lock. His breath hitched when he saw what was wrong. The lock was broken.

A sinking feeling settled in his stomach and he looked at his hyungs with panic in his eyes.

"Someone broke it open."
