Chapter 1

Lydia's POV
*today is my favourite day of the week ,It's Friday !! Which means it's game day ! I woke up at 6:30 am to get in the shower and get ready for school*

*after I got out of the shower I put on my cheer uniform and I blow dried my hair before Straightening it and doing my makeup I'm in grade 9 so it's only my first year at high school and I made the cheer team which is really impressive some will say ! Anyways I looked at the time and it was 7:15 so we need to leave in 15 mins so I went out of my room and headed downstairs to the Kitchen where my mom and brother were eating breakfast*
Hayley:morning sweetie ! *smiles*
Lydia:morning mom !
Hayley:want some breakfast?
Lydia:no I think I'll get something at school
Hayley:you sure ?
Lydia:I'm sure !
Hayley:okay
Lydia:I'm going to head out
Jamie:I'm not leaving for until 15 mins ?
Lydia:I know but I'm going to walk
Jamie:why? And with who ?
Lydia:with my friends and just for fun you know
Hayley:k we'll be safe please !
Lydia:I will mom !
*I leave the house and to be honest I'm not walking with my friends, I'm walking with my secret boyfriend Liam we have been dating for 6 months now I love him I really do but I can't let my dad,brother or anyone in my family now cause they will get so protective over me and ask me a million questions that I don't wanna answer! So today we decided to walk to school so I'm meeting up with him around the corner*
At the corner
*when I got there Liam was already there waiting*
Liam:hey!
Lydia:hi ! *smiles* we should probably get walking before Jamie leaves the house and sees us
Liam:that's a good idea
*we start walking*
Liam:Lydia , I gotta tell you something important
Lydia:what's up ?
Liam:meet me at the tree after school and I'll tell you then okay ?
Lydia:nothing bad is it
Liam:you'll see when the time comes
Lydia:oh okay
At school
*when we arrived at school I went on it ahead of Liam to not make it look suspicious and I met up with my friends Bree and Anna*
Bree:hey girl ! You made it
Anna:I thought you were going to be late !
Lydia:yeah it took a bit longer to leave the house today
Bree:everything good ?
Lydia:oh yeah ! Just everyone was tired that's all
Anna:well follow me I wanna show you something
Lydia:okay?
*I followed Anna over to her locker and she showed me the 100% that she got on her Spanish quiz*
Lydia:Anna ! That's great
Anna:right ! And it boosted my mark up to a 53% ! I'm no passing Spanish
Lydia:see all that studying pays off
Anna:I guess so *smiles*
*as the day goes by it was really great ! But the bell just rang for school to be over and I need to go meet up at the tree with Liam but as I was at my locker Jamie came up to me*
Jamie:ready to go ?
Lydia:I'll meet you in the car in a few ok ? I gotta do something first
Jamie:okay? I'll be by the door waiting
Lydia:k
*Jamie went out the door and I headed outside to the big tree in the corner it's a private area so it's where me and Liam go to secretly make out*
At the tree
Lydia:hey ! You gotta make this quick cause Jamie is waiting for me
Liam:this won't take long
Lydia:oh okay ?
Liam:look Lydia ! I love you I really do but I can't do this anymore
Lydia:are you breaking up with me ? *I say as tears start to fall down my face*
Liam:I'm sorry Lydia but we are over !*walks away*
*my heart is broken and there are tears streaming down my face I'm left alone ! I know I can't stand here and cry cause Jamie is probably getting so mad now so I wiped my tears and headed over to the car and when I get in he looks at me weird*
Jamie:woah,you okay ?
Lydia:yeah I'm fine *fake smiles*
Jamie:okay ?
*we drove back to the house and there are tears still streaming down my face and as much as Jamie wants to ask me what's happening he stays quiet but I can feel his eyes on me every now and then*
At the house
*when we arrived at home I grabbed my book bag and stormed into the house and went straight to my room and cried my eyes out*
Hayley's POV
*I was in the living room cleaning up when I heard the door open and in came Lydia who had tears rolling down her face storming up to her room and seconds later I heard the door slam shut and then Jamie walks in*
Hayley:what's wrong with her ?
Jamie:idk she got in the car like that
Hayley:I should go talk to her
Jamie:good luck I already tried and she said just she was fine
Hayley:*nods*
*I head up the stairs to Lydia's room and I knock on it before entering her room and I see her lying down on her bed so upset*
Hayley:sweetie! What happened ?
Lydia:nothing !
Hayley:something had to happen ! Did someone do someone to you ?
Lydia:no mom !
Hayley:well why are you crying like this?
Lydia:sit down and I'll tell you
Nathan's POV
*I just got back to the house after going to the gym and I walk inside and see Jamie on the couch*
Nathan:hey bud ! Where is everyone?
Jamie:mom is upstairs with Lydia
Nathan:why?
Jamie:idk she was crying really bad
Nathan:did something happen ?
Jamie:idk she wouldn't tell me
Nathan:did someone come up to her at school?
Jamie:not that I know off and after the bell rang I went up to her and asked if she was ready to go and she was fine ! All she said was that she needed to go do something real quick so I just waited in the car and she got in the car crying
Nathan:i shouid go see what's going on
Jamie:i wouldn't
Nathan:why?
Jamie:it doesn't seem like moms having much luck up there according to how long she's been up there I'd stay down here before you make it worse
Nate:why would I make it worse ? I'm her father
Jamie:yeah but it could be a girl problem stuff we don't wanna know about
Nate:I guess your right ,
Hailey's POV
*Lydia just told me everything that happened and I feel so bad for her ! And shocked at the same time that she didn't tell me about her boyfriend*
Hailey:you know we gotta tell you dad and brother right?
Lydia:do we have to ?
Hailey:there worried about you ! I'm after getting texts from the both of them since I came up here !
Lydia:can you go tell them I'll stay here
Hailey:okay, call out to me if you want me okay ?
Lydia:thanks mom
Hayley:no problem baby ! *smiles and kisses her cheek*
*I leave her room closing the door behind me and I head downstairs where Nate and Jamie are on the couch waiting *
Nate:what's wrong ? Is she okay ? *he says while standing up*
Hayley:you might wanna sit down for this
Nate:*sits down* your scaring me hales
Jamie:what's going on ?
Hayley:so she kinda had a boyfriend and he broke up her today after school
Nate:a boyfriend?! *says with shock and a bit of anger*
Jamie:wait ! How long ?
Hayley:6 months
Jamie:Nate:6 months ?!!!
Hayley:yeah *nods her head*
Nate:who is the prick who did this ?
Hayley:Nathan !
Nate:he hurt my baby !
Hayley:she didn't give me his name ! And she most definitely will not give you or Jamie his name ! There's nothing you two can do about it besides be there for her
Jamie:dad she's right ! There's nothing we can do about it ! It's out of our control
Nate:I wasn't prepared for this to be happening this soon
Jamie:I don't think any of us were dad !
Hayley:let's just give her some space at the moment and maybe have a family discussion tomorrow sometime
