I guess I wasn't the only one who was stumped by the abrupt stop to the long discussion. Jake looked like he had prepared himself for another hour of arguing but being shut down so quickly had left him deflated in some way. Kiri was a similar case, with the way she eyed Tonowari as he was walking back to his chair, confusion and relief written over her face. I wouldn't go and complain either, the less time spent in here the better. Not having to interact more with the two people who had control over me being sent back to my former home was a plus. Ayoe and her mother quietly shushed something in each other's ears, just like the latter had done with her mate on the way here. My eyes didn't stay long on the pair, as the occasional glances from them to me made me wary. Ronal sighed before addressing the crowd that still resided inside the Marui Pod.
"(Like my mate has already said, please leave, we are busy people.)" I raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything. I didn't know what there was to do, my dad most often only had meetings with some of our warriors, which could have been compared to army generals if Louise was one to trust, but nothing much outside of that. Yeah, there were some instances of resolving matters between clan members but that was rarely an issue, maybe once or twice a week. I felt a hand on my shoulder and realized it was my father, who nodded for me to follow him outside, which I did after meeting the green eyes of my sister. She spoke to me in the same manner Talueal and Ayoe were still doing.
"(I think father is unhappy with this outcome.)" I smiled to myself and shook my head, before replying to the younger Na'vi girl, who was still taller.
"(He will tell us if that is the case, don't you think so?)" She shrugged, and we made our way outside the Marui Pod into the warm and bright world of Pandora. Our group drew some attention again as the surrounding villagers stared on, stopping from their chores. The zoo comparison came back to my mind, alas I wasn't about to complain, it was natural to show curiosity and interest in people or things that you were used to. Rakan, who stared at me, hiding his true intentions again, his wife, Talueal, their daughter, Ayoe, my father, Jake, and my sister, Kiri were standing in some sort of circle with one last open spot, which I quickly occupied, sparking the flame inside of Rakan to growl out the words that he didn't dare to speak in front of his Olo'eyktan.
"(Here we are again, no further than before, thank you very much, sky person.)" I, along with everyone else here, gave him a confused look. How was this my fault now, never did I speak out against our reason for coming here in the first place, he and my father bottled it, not me. I wanted to exclaim exactly that, but Jake was faster.
"(Do you want to explain your reasoning for framing my son for your incompetence to come up with better argument to convince Tonowari and Ronal?)" Rakan's discontent showed through the glare he gave us, but the lack of support from around him only fueled his frustration. He muttered one last warning before he turned on his heels and stormed away.
"(This will have consequences, just you wait.)" I wasn't the only one to be confused about what he thought was going to happen with the unaccomplished change, but he had left behind a lingering tension in the air. My first idea to get away from this unresolved situation as Rakan was displaying it was to proceed with Ayoe and my original plan—returning to her home to gather her belongings, hence I brought exactly that up.
"(I think we should just continue like that hadn't just happened.)" Everyone stayed quiet, which I understood as agreement with my matter, which was why I continued speaking. "(Ayoe, do you want to finally move your things to the other Marui?)" She gave her mother a quick glance and then gave me a nod before going without speaking. It reminded me of her father, but she would probably dislike the comparison with what he had just done. I smiled at the others and left as well, jogging to catch up to my guardian whose long blue legs carried her at grave speed across the many paths that made up half of the village, the other half being the houses to each side. With an unusual quick trip back to her home we arrived shortly after, where I waited outside for Ayoe to quickly pack up her things. As she had already started prior to the discussion we were able to leave after a few minutes, with me taking one of the three boxes. I moved my eyes over to her arms, which were carrying the two other boxes of her most important belongings. Her face was neutral so I decided to ask a question that had been on my mind ever since her father started acting so hostile toward me.
