"Hey look we made it to the arcade- finally" Lily announced to the group, "It's the best arcade in town, well before the old pizza place was closed" Max mentioned, you looked at Evan but he just shrugged. Lily wrapped her arms around your arm and pulled you into the building, "Hey, Y/n is my-", "Chill bro, that's how girls are, especially those two, trust me they have weird ass moments" Max sarcastically said, following the two of you with Evan.

All of you took a seat at a table, Evan was able to sit next to you finally after convincing Lily that he should be sitting next to you, so Lily sat across from you instead. You looked over at Max, but he didn't seem to care, "I convinced my dad to give me a shit ton of quarters so we can play for hours" he said, pulling out a pouch from you don't want to know where.

He divided the quarters to each of them before the four of them went off to play games. The time just seemed to fly by as they enjoyed playing the arcade games, Evan and Max occasionally getting competitive in a game or 4 every now and then, which you and Lily enjoyed watching and laughing over. Evan got a little upset and twice as competitive when he lost against Max from games he's just learning about.

After a few hours of having fun and ordering food, your phone started ringing. You looked to see it was the doctor call Rosella told you to look out for, "I'll be right back guys", "Go ahead, you're not missing anything" Lily chuckled, pointing to the two boys who you basically declared as friends based on how they acted with each other.

You walked to the bathroom as you answered the call, thankfully no one was in there while you were in there, "Hi, is this Y/n L/n?" the doctor asked from the other end, "This is she" you said, feeling nervous about finding out if the test results are ready or not, and what the answer was. "Perfect, we just finished looking over the tests and it seems like you have a condition called infertility that you cannot get pregnant, it's more common for older women but seems like you have that case"

The news relaxed you as you let out a sigh of air you didn't realize you were holding in, "So it's entirely impossible for me to become pregnant?" you asked, thinking about the future of what it would be like, "Depends, usually it should last for roughly a year in some cases, even so if a positive does come out as positive, the pregnancy commonly doesn't end well with the fetus" he explained. So becoming pregnant is a very low chance, you thought as you leaned against the sink counter.

"Though protection would still be recommended, condoms preferably as it risks passing HIV, STDs, and other things during sexual intimacy" you cringed as he explained more, it's like the whole birds and the bees talk all over again, cringing from this embarrassing conversation, yet the whole call was just that. But hey at least it's not in person and with your parents that you have to face for the rest of your life. Until they die-.

I dont think Evan has that, then again when was the last time hes been in the hospital besides fucking dying in a coma? "Uh- thank you doc, is there anything else i should know?" there was a hum of thought on the other end along with some barely audible papers being moved around, "No, thant should be it, if we find anything else out we will give you another call", "Alright thank you" you said before hanging up, sighing.

You turned to look at yourself in the mirror, then turned the faucet on and splashed some water on your face to calm down, good news and news you did not expect, but overall pretty good news, "I wonder what Evan would think about it" you mumbled to yourself as you turned to the door, seeing it was cracked open a bit but closed quickly. Was someone easdropping on me? Creepy...

After you dried your hands and face, you headed back to the others who were finishing up with their sodas, well just Lily and Evan, "Whered Max go?", "He went to go pay for the food at the front to be a gentleman" Lily answered with a chuckle while you sat next to Evan, he looked at you with a slightly worried look as he held your hand, you gave his hand a slight squeeze, giving a small smile to him to show your okay.

"Dudes, im broke as hell now, and im tired" max groaned, walking over, "Walk back to the park?" Lily asked excitedly, her eyes practically lighting up, most likely wanting to see the ducks again, he just shrugged, "Sure, just for a bit, i wanna head home and play video games" you started to wonder if Evan would act like a normal teenage boy like Max ever. Least likely, hes still practically a child mentally, you thought as you all got up and walked out to head to the park.

The walk to the park seemed shorter then from the park to the arcade, Lily was excited as she sped walked to the dock, sitting at the edge as she opened her bag and tossed bread and seeds in the pond again. Max stood at the beginning of the dock, not nearly trusting the platform above water, which you chuckled at as you sat next to your bestie on your left with Evan on your right. The sun was slowly setting as before when you walked with Lily, the sky was just mesmerizing and bursting with vibrant colors that the water reflected.

"This place is pretty relaxing" Evan murmured, resting his head against yours, "Yeah, its a nice place" you said with a smile, looking down at the water. But you noticed Lily looked upset in the reflection, "Hey are you okay?" you asked her, she looked at you and nodded, "Yeah, just being a thirdwheel" she chuckled. But for some reason, in her tone, showed that wasnt the reason, before you were able to say anything Max called her over to start leaving.

Lily got up, hugging you, "Ill see you at school, maybe", "Hehe, maybe, maybe late, i like sleeping in" you both laughed as she gave you one more hug before heading over to max, leaving the two of you alone on the dock. "Your friends arent too bad" Evan said, stretching his arms as he got up as well, "You and Max seemed to click pretty well" you commented, a grin showing on his face, "Hes pretty chill, i guess i kinda forgot what its like to have friends to just do normal stuff with"

You nodded, in his situation it seems like a good reason for that. You both started walking back to the house before it gets any later, which you thought was a perfect time to tell him about the phone call, "Evan, i have to tell you something", "Is it about Lily?" he asked, which instantly made you lose your train of thought, "What about Lily?" you asked, "You didnt notice?", "No, she seemed normal to me" you said.

"She seemed close and touchy with you" he said, sounding a bit jealous, which was kinda funny and cute in a way, "Thats normal" you shrug, but you did think she was a little more extra today, i wonder why.

"I think that she..."
