[C24] Bedroom Talk

You both started walking back to the house before it gets any later, which you thought was a perfect time to tell him about the phone call, “Evan, i have to tell you something”, “Is it about Lily?” he asked, which instantly made you lose your train of thought, “What about Lily?” you asked, “You didn't notice?”, “No, she seemed normal to me” you said.

“She seemed close and touchy with you” he said, sounding a bit jealous, which was kinda funny and cute in a way, “That's normal” you shrug, but you did think she was a little more extra today.

“I think that she…” he paused for a second, “She what?”, “Nevermind- uh what were you going to say?” he asked, changing the subject. You wanted to know what he thought about Lily, maybe he was just jealous of how Lily was acting like today with me, you thought. “I got a call from the doctor earlier and- no I'm not. . . pregnant” you said, “And that i apparently have something called infertility, basically i can't get pregnant, at all” you explained.

Evan listened to your explanation, “So we can stop using condoms?” he asked, not even thinking before speaking. You stopped walking and looked at him, and what he said went back to him after a second, “I mea-”, “The doctor said we don't have to, but it's recommended to prevent other things like viruses” you said before he could explain himself for the blurted out question.

After a moment he nodded in understanding, “I'll have to ask mom if she can set up an appointment to see if i can get checked for that” he mumbled, you couldn't help but chuckle at his sudden idea, “And if it's tested negative?”, “We don't have to worry about condoms?” he answered. You could tell that wasn't the full truth, but you didn't want to get into that yet, “Mhm, sure” Evan rolled his eyes playfully before scooping you up into his arms, teleporting to his room.

“Warn me when you do that” Evan laughed a bit at how you were startled by that, “I'll try to remember, no promises” he said as he got onto the bed, holding you close. The both of you cuddled close together, before your phone started ringing, ruining the relaxing moment. You groaned as you looked at your phone seeing it was your mom calling again, “She's getting so annoying” you muttered under your breath, declining the call and blocking her number.

Evan watched you put the phone on the nightstand with an annoyed look on your face before cuddling with him again, he wrapped his wings around you as a blanket, which helped you calm down a bit, “Evan”, “Hm?”, “What were you saying about Lily earlier?” you asked. He silently cringed to himself as you mentioned what he was previously saying about your best friend, making you feel even more curious for him to react like that.

After a moment of silence, he sighed, “I'm probably just over thinking it and getting jealous but. . . i think she likes you, as in more than a friend” he finally spilled, waiting a moment for his thought to process before speaking again, “And another thing.. When you went to answer the call while we were there at the arcade, I saw her follow your way after a moment-”, “Wait wait- are you saying she spied on my call? And also assuming she likes me?” you asked, sitting up which took him back, “Well- i-it's just what i thought but it could be possible” he responded, sitting up as well.

You looked at him with a serious look while Evan held your hands, it could be possible Lily was the one who was at the door eavesdropping? But why would she? And the fact she was more closer today was also odd… “I can call her and ask” you said sternly as you took your phone from the nightstand and looked through your contacts for her number. You can practically feel the jealousy from Evan radiating off of him as you called her, not taking his word for his thoughts. At least not outloud.

The phone rang for a moment after you called, immediately putting it on speaker so Evan could hear clearly, “Hey Lily, i have some questions for you” you stated, “Sure, about what?”, “Did you eavesdrop on my call in the bathroom today?” you asked, getting straight to the point. A long pause came from her end before she sighed, “I.. yeah I did..” she answered, “I can't say yet- but it's nothing bad I swear! I'm- sorry for being creepy”, “It's still kinda creepy- for eavesdropping… how much did you hear by the way?” Evan put his chin on your shoulder, “Told you she did” he whispered.

You just rolled your eyes at his comment, “I didn't hear much, just that you can't get uhm- . . .” she paused, not wanting to say pregnant as if it was a curse word, well it is an embarrassing thing to conversate about, “Alright, well-”, “Do you like Y/n more than a friend?” Evan suddenly spoke, “Ev- Allen” a second after he said that, the call was dropped. “I'll take that as a yes” he said firmly, pulling you close to him, “Aren't you a lady charmer” you humored, rolling your eyes, “Well your the only lady i want to charm” he chuckled, nuzzling into your neck, sending a shiver through your body.

“Asshole”, “I'm only speaking the truth, Y/n, i never liked anyone besides you” he spoke seriously, though his words were muffled a bit, “Sure” you scoffed, trying not to buy into his charm. At least not outloud. Evan chuckled, wrapping his arms around your waist, kissing your neck, “I love you, I really do. I don't want anyone else to have you like i do” he said, his tone was hard to tell but he sounded almost sad? “Evan?”, “I hated how close she was to you…” he mentioned bitterly.

You've mentioned that for a while, you thought. His grip on you tightened, you turned your head to look at him, seeing his eyes were starting to tear up, “Evan-”, “Sorry- im just getting another headache” he muttered before teleporting somewhere else, leaving you alone, confused, and worried.

What the hell just happened?

Hello hello! I apologize for not posting a chapter (like I say in every chapter I post at this point. . .) weellllll writers block, laziness, no ideas, no motivation, life shi happens :) and chapter ideas that don't come out for a while... And then ideas I've had since like chapter 18.....

Anygays!
