All rights to America go to my friend, Z!
Enjoy!
It had been four days since I had seen my best friend, Peter.
He hadn't been to school and everyone seemed not to notice. I did and was going to get to the bottom of this.
I had asked my mother if I might visit him, as he lived one street over. She said I could.

"Sorry Mother!" I apologized.
"So, how was Peter?" she asked.
"He wasn't there..." I told her. "Mother, I don't know."
"Surely if something was truly wrong he would've told you. Was anyone at their house?"
"Yes, Mrs. Pan. I'm afraid something truly awful did happen and no one will tell me. I don't know." I said before I went up to my bedroom, crying.
I was named America but was born in England. I had a grandfather who made the first trip to America and on the Mayflower and was named after that.
One day, I wished to visit the land I was named after.
"But first," I thought. "I'm going to find out what's happened to Peter, even if it takes years or longer." I vowed.
Today was day one of what could become the best adventure of a lifetime...
