IN REAL LIFE !
📍Grocery store

AFTER HER FRIENDS LEFT CAMILLE'S PLACE, she needed an activity to do for the rest of the day. What a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than going grocery shopping?

Looking at her fridge she saw a blank canvas just staring back at her. So on todays list of errands was just buying groceries.

Camille wandered through the aisles of the grocery store, humming softly to herself. The memory of the previous night still lingered in her mind.

She kept cursing at herself for being dumb like they spoke, shared a couple of laughs but neither had thought to exchange names or numbers before parting ways.

As she turned the corner into the produce section, Camille noticed a man struggling to balance a precarious stack of groceries. In a split second, everything slipped from his hands, scattering fruits and vegetables across the floor.

Camille rushed over to help, her instinct to assist stronger than her curiosity. "Here, let me help you," she said, bending down to gather an apple that had rolled away.

The man looked up, and their eyes met. Both froze, recognition dawning simultaneously. It was the same man from the club.

His eyes widened in surprise and amusement. "It's you!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief and joy.

Camille chuckled, shaking her head. "I can't believe it. What are the odds?"

Together, they picked up the scattered groceries, laughing at the coincidence. His smile was radiant as he stood up, clutching a now slightly bruised peach. "I didn't think I'd ever see you again," he admitted, a hint of shyness in his voice.

"Neither did I," Camille replied, feeling a warmth spread through her chest.

"Now that we've met twice coincidentally, it's only right I get your name Angel," He grinned, leaning against the aisle lazily while also balancing the stuff he picked out in his arms.

Camille laughed, shaking her head. "Camille. And you?"

Jude stared at her, his grin widening. "I'm Jude. But I think 'Angel' has a nice ring to it."

Camille rolled her eyes playfully. "Is that your usual line?"

"Only for special occasions," Jude said, winking. "You know, like when I drop all my groceries and a gorgeous woman helps me pick them up."

"Sounds oddly familiar," Camille teased, picking up a cucumber and placing it back in Jude's basket.

"Hey, I have to make the most of these rare opportunities," Jude retorted, trying to balance the basket on his knee as he picked up a rogue tomato.

"Maybe you should get a cart next time," Camille suggested, smirking. "Or at least work on your balancing act."

"Touché," Jude conceded with a laugh. "I'll make a mental note of that."

They continued to chat as they made their way to the checkout line. Jude's humor was infectious, and Camille found herself smiling more than she had in a long time. As they loaded their groceries onto the conveyor belt, Jude glanced at Camille's items.

"Healthy eater, huh?" he commented, eyeing her selection of fruits and vegetables.

Camille shrugged. "I try. You should see me with a pizza, though."

"Oh, now that I'd love to see," Jude said with a mischievous glint in his eye. "How about this? To make up for my grocery-spilling , I'll treat you to a slice sometime."

Camille raised an eyebrow. "Are you asking me out in a grocery store?"

"Absolutely," Jude said, without missing a beat. "There's no better place for it."

Camille laughed again, shaking her head. "Alright, pizza it is. But only if you promise not to drop anything."

Jude placed a hand over his heart. "Your honor. I'll be on my best behavior."

As they finished paying and walked out of the store together, Jude turned to Camille. "So, Camille, do you come here often?"

Camille groaned, feigning exasperation. "Oh no, not that line!"

Jude chuckled. "Had to try it at least once. But seriously, I'm glad we ran into each other again."

"Me too," Camille said, feeling that warm flutter in her chest once more. "Maybe the universe is trying to tell us something."

Jude smiled, a genuine and warm expression. "Maybe it is. Or maybe I just really needed that cucumber."

Camille laughed, "well, whatever the reason, I'm glad it happened."

They exchanged numbers before parting ways, both feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation for what might come next. The universe, it seemed, had a funny way of bringing people together—sometimes through bars, and sometimes through spilled groceries.
