Chapter 2

**Surah Al-A'raf (7:199)

خُذِ الْعَفْوَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْعُرْفِ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْجَاهِلِينَ

**Translation:**
"Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant."

This verse encourages adopting a forgiving attitude, promoting righteous behavior, and avoiding disputes or interactions with those who act out of ignorance.

Assalamualaikum," Aleena shouted over the phone, and I held the phone away from my ear. "Wa alaikum assalam. Aleena, speak softly, I might go deaf."

"Ooo, sorry," said Aleena. "I'm going to pick you up, so be ready for college. I'll be there in 15 to 20 minutes," she ended the call.

I quickly wore my long black jilbab, covering me from head to toe, and made my way to college, not before reciting Ayat al-Kursi.

"Hanuu!" She hugged me so tightly that I almost lost my breath. "Oh, I missed you so much!"

I chuckled at her loving behavior. "I missed you too, Leena. Acha, let's go, or we'll be late.

"Huh, finally we reached, bro," said Shazoor. "Taimur, you are such a grumpy man. During the whole 5-hour journey, you didn't even utter a word. How can you stay silent, man?"

"Because I am a sensible person," said Taimur in his usual cold voice.

"Funny buddy, I've been your friend since childhood, so don't try to tell me all this. I'll reveal all your secrets," said Shazoor, laughing. But when he realized what he had said, he bit his tongue in regret. "I mean... Enough, the driver is waiting, both the friends came out of the airport and saw a black luxurious Rolls-Royce Drop Tail and another SUV standing with bodyguards. Suddenly, everyone started bowing their heads, but Shazoor stopped them. "No need, guys. We should never bow our heads in front of anyone except Allah."

Taimur rolled his eyes and got into the car.

Yaar, the day was hectic. Let's go to the park," said Aleena.

"No, Leena, I have to go to the café that I recently joined. You know what happened with my previous job. I don't want to lose this job, and if I get late, Chachi will definitely kill me. My bruises are still fresh," said Hannah with tears in her eyes that she immediately wiped away.

"Hannah!!! What the heck happened to your hand? Come with me," Leena said, driving to the nearby hospital. I got my hand bandaged.

"Hannah, how can you live with animals like them?"

"Leena, please don't say these words. They are my elders, and after the death of my parents, Chachu gave me shelter. I can't be ungrateful to them. Don't worry, I will be fine," said Hannah.

"Stop smiling like a fool, Hannah. The pain is visible on your face. Stop being so kind, Hannah. They always hurt you. What have they done for you? They gave you shelter or food? I treat my dog better than they treat you."

"Enough, Aleena. You have no right to talk about my life. It's easy to judge; try living my life for once. And whatever I have, I am grateful to my Rabb for it," I tried to say in my shaky and trembling voice. Then I walked out of there.

Aleena kept calling out to me, but suddenly my past started flashing before me, and I couldn't make sense of anything. My vision got blurry. The last thing I could remember was Aleena fighting with someone.

I sat in the front seat while Shazoor was driving. I was getting angry at him, "What was the need to send the driver home? He was doing his job. What was your problem?". Woo bro you finally talked calm down you know what taimur i don't know what has happened to you
Every small unselfish action nudges the world in to a better path just keep your ego aside Tai we all are made of sand . You didn't saw the smile of the driver when I asked him to leave being the reason of someone's smile you will realize you are already in heaven. Stop your lecture now keep silence and drive fast said taimur while rolling his eyes. Drive fast said shahzoor micking taimur 's words.A girl wearing a black abaya suddenly came in front of the car. Shazoor stopped the car so abruptly and got out. He started asking the woman if she was okay. Just then, another girl came running and began arguing with Shazoor.oo Mr can't you see what if something happened to my bestfriend I will kill you said aleena. Excuse me miss it was not my fault your bestfriend came infornt of my car .
Seeing them fighting, I got out of the car. I caught sight of a small trembling figure who was speaking softly, but her words were barely audible. All I could make out was so..rry..p..le..se..do..'..nt..hu..rt..m..e . She looked at me with her teary hazel brown eyes . Shhh! Hazel i am not gonna hurt you I caressed her black hijab. She clutched my shirt in her small fist and i do'nt know why i hugged her before she fainted. Suddenly i couldn't feel her warmth a girl took her from my embrace and started calling her . I called my bodyguards to take her to the nearby hospital I was about to go with her when my phone started ringing and mama was calling me so I had to leave but my heart was not willing to leave .

How is she doctor? She had a panic attack do'nt give her any kind of stress. Thank you doctor said aleena with a smile. The doctor left. She walked away, and I went to Hannah in the ward. Hannah was staring at the ceiling, so I went up to her and held her hand. "Hannah, how are you feeling. She pulled her hand away from mine.Hannah, please forgive me. I shouldn't have talked to you like that, I am sorry. There is no need to apologize, Aleena. I'm used to this behavior. What hurt me was that someone I considered my own said all this to me today."Hannah i care about please don't say these words I am always here for you haanu . I realised that I was on the hospital bed and tears were running down my cheeks , i tried to control them but all in vain , my heart was hurting i never expected to say aleena these words to me . Aleena pulled me in a hug and i cried until there were no tears left .when she realized that I am not crying anymore , she pulled back and my eyes met hers which were filled with concern . No doubt she understands me the most and i am so greatful to my allah for giving me the best friend like her . Sorry haanu said aleena with gulit on her face. It,s ok I forgave you , i know she is very aggressive but she is careing and loving too. " I know you are hungry let's garb your favourite icecream "! She busted with a wide smile on her face . I know she was trying to uplift my mood . Leena who bought me here she narrated me the whole story and was cursing the driver. Leena see I am fine now let's go today I couldn't go cafe and chachi must be waiting for me .

The door opened, and Mama engulfed me in a tight hug. "My son, you finally came," said Mama with tears in her eyes.

"Mama, stop crying. I'm here now," said Taimur while kissing his mother's forehead.

"Aunty, you forgot me?"

"Oh, dear, how can I forget you? You are also like a son to me, just like Taimur," said Abidah while hugging Shazoor.

"Mama, where is Adeel?" asked Taimur.

"Son, he is on a trip with his friends. You guys must be hungry. Go freshen up, and I'll ask the servants to serve dinner."

Taimur's POV

I went into my room and Shahzoor went into another room. Shahzoor is my childhood friend and he has always understood me. When I came home today, everything had changed, except for my room. Even though baba left, he will always remain in my heart. I was putting on my night suit when my eyes fell on my T-shirt, where she had held it. When I looked into her tearful eyes, I wanted to take away all her pain, i couldn't see her face because her face was covered but That ordinary girl had stolen my heart with her hazel eyes.
