Hoseok visited Yoongi's studio after Jaeho reluctantly allowed him to go. He didn't understand why he was so excited to visit Yoongi, but maybe it was because he already saw Yoongi as a friend, a rare light in his dark life.
Reaching the studio, Hoseok timidly entered, his eyes widening at the sight before him. The studio was enormous, filled with a myriad of musical instruments. A grand piano stood majestically in one corner, while violins, guitars, and other instruments adorned the walls. The atmosphere was serene, almost magical.
He wandered around, feeling a sense of peace he hadn't felt in years. The studio was a sanctuary, a place where he could momentarily forget his troubles. Hoseok's eyes landed on Yoongi's desk, cluttered with sheets of music. One book, in particular, caught his eye. It was a music notebook, its pages filled with beautiful handwriting.
Curiosity got the better of him, and he picked it up, reading the lyrics written within. The words resonated with him deeply, each line tugging at his heartstrings. He became so engrossed in the lyrics that he didn't notice Yoongi approaching from behind.
Yoongi tapped him on the shoulder, and Hoseok yelped, dropping the book in surprise. He turned around to see Yoongi smiling at him apologetically.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," Yoongi said, chuckling softly.
Hoseok's panic returned when he realized he had dropped Yoongi's book. He quickly bent down, picking it up and dusting it off, muttering apologies. "I'm so sorry, Yoongi. I didn't mean to drop it."
Yoongi gently placed a hand on Hoseok's shoulder. "It's okay, really. It's just a book."
Hoseok flinched at the touch, expecting a blow, but instead, he felt warmth and reassurance. Yoongi pulled him into a hug, surprising him even more.
"You didn't do anything wrong," Yoongi said softly, his voice soothing. "Everything will be alright."
Hoseok's muscles gradually relaxed, and he found himself hugging Yoongi back, clinging to him as if he were a lifeline. Yoongi tightened his embrace, providing a sense of security Hoseok hadn't felt in a long time.
Unconsciously, Hoseok held onto Yoongi tighter, afraid to let go of this moment of comfort. Tears began to fall, and he couldn't stop them. It was the first time in years that he had felt safe, and it overwhelmed him.
Yoongi didn't pull away. Instead, he held Hoseok tighter, his hand gently rubbing his back. "It's okay to cry," he whispered. "Let it all out."
Hoseok sobbed into Yoongi's shoulder, years of pain and fear pouring out of him. He had never felt this safe and content in his life, and it made him emotional. Yoongi held him through it all, offering silent support.
After what felt like an eternity, Hoseok's sobs subsided. He pulled back slightly, looking into Yoongi's eyes. "Thank you," he whispered, his voice raw with emotion.
Yoongi smiled gently. "You don't have to thank me. I'm here for you, Hoseok."
Yoongi intertwined their fingers and led Hoseok to his piano, his first love. He sat Hoseok down and sat beside him, then began to play a tune that made Hoseok look at him like he was a god.
Hoseok watched Yoongi's every move, the way his muscles moved when he flexed them, the way his delicate fingers pressed on the keys and brought out beautiful tones of music. He looked at Yoongi's face and felt his heart flutter, admiring how focused he was while playing the piano. It felt like he was on a cloud, the music playing in the background.
His daydream dispersed when Yoongi stopped playing the piano. He slowly looked at Yoongi, who was looking at him with a tender expression. They stared at each other, and Yoongi began leaning in. Hoseok, seeing what was happening, looked away and started playing the piano, playing the tune his mother would always play for him.
Yoongi blinked and cleared his throat, his cheeks tinting red. He looked at Hoseok in amazement as he played the piano with ease. Hoseok finished with a smile and looked at Yoongi.
Yoongi came closer and held Hoseok's cheek. Hoseok timidly leaned in. Yoongi came closer and kissed Hoseok's forehead, then his eyes and nose. Hoseok giggled, feeling ticklish. Yoongi then kissed his cheek and slowly leaned in to peck Hoseok's lips.
Hoseok pulled away and looked at Yoongi in horror. He stood up, trying to hide the butterflies he felt in his stomach.
Yoongi stood up as well and went to hold Hoseok's hands. He apologized, and Hoseok sighed and nodded, praying that Jaeho wouldn't find out.
"Please, don't do that again," Hoseok begged softly.
"I understand. I'm sorry," Yoongi replied, his voice sincere.
They sat back down at the piano, and Yoongi played a few more tunes, encouraging Hoseok to join in. They played together, creating beautiful melodies that filled the studio with warmth and joy. Hoseok found himself smiling more, the weight of his troubles momentarily lifting as he immersed himself in the music.
For the first time in a long while, Hoseok felt a spark of happiness. He knew the road ahead would be difficult, but with Yoongi by his side, he felt a glimmer of hope. As they played late into the evening, Hoseok realized that Yoongi was more than just a friend. He was a lifeline, a beacon of hope that would guide him through the darkest times.
And for that, Hoseok would be forever grateful.
