Devi got up hearing the sound of someone knocking on door constantly. Opening the door she saw her mother in law standing infront of her.
" Where is Ritik?" Yamini said with an unpleasant look.
" He is sleeping." Yamini furrowed with her reply.

" Till this time? He never sleep in this time." Devi sigh.
" Actually Ma, he has a fever so he is taking rest." Yamini push Devi aside. Devi stumbled a little but he hold herself.

" My son!" She sat beside him and caress his head. Ritik opened his eyes.
" I'm fine mom." He speak weakly.
" Why you didn't told me huh? Did you ate something? Wait I'll make Khichdi for you." Yamini was about to go when Ritik hold her hand. And made her again sit on bed.

" I'm fine mom, and Devi is here she will take care of me. You should go and break your fast. Dad must be waiting." Yamini felt bad of his words.
" OK then, be with your wife and make sure she is taking care of you." Yamini storm out from his room not before passing a glare at Devi who was still standing near the door.

She closed the door with a loud sound. Devi made a face but cover it soon when Ritik glare at her. She laugh nervously. She sat beside him.
" Should I bring something for you?" Ritik first nodded but then deny shaking his head.

" Why?" She cross her arms around her chest.
" I am on my fast." Ritik cutely played with his fingers. A chuckle escape from her mouth.
" Let's break it here." She went out of the room. Ritik smiled and push his head on pillow. But his stomach groan with hunger.

Soon Devi came with a thali, there a chalni, a copper small pot filled with water and a plate filled with food. She put it on the table in balcony. And help Ritik to get up and reach to the balcony.

They did the ritual and Devi made Ritik drink the water. After taking few slips Ritik snatch the copper pot of water and start to drink it. He was thirsty since morning. Sooner he finish the water.
" Sorry I was so thirsty from morning." Devi wipe the water droplets near his lips.

" You kept fast for me, so you deserve a gift." Ritik's eyes spark with happiness. She came forward and kiss his cheek. Ritik was shocked by her action, blood rush through his cheeks turning them red in colour.

She back off and looked at him. His eyes was still widen, mouth was slightly open and cheeks which was turn red.
" You agree to grant my three wishes." Ritik came out from his dreamland. He slowly nodded his head.

" I want you to complete my first wish." By hearing her.
" Say anything I'll do whatever you want." Devi was assure by his words.
" I want you to get back that house which you gave to my father and also all the money which you pay him for our marriage." Ritik's eyes widen.
