I was walking home from James house. Our houses were merely 500metres apart. I didn't even need to drive my motorcycle.
It was late November, which means there is snow everywhere and it is cold as fuck.

I'm still chuckling over James drinking a whole cup of coffee with salt, because he desperately didn't want to admit that he had been wrong about which container held salt and which sugar.

I was so lost in thoughts, I didn't notice the girl infront of me. When I did it was too late.

I bumped into her and her scrawny form fell to the ground. 'Oww!' She wailed and clutched her shoulder. 'Oh sorry!' I said and took her in. She appeared to be my godson Harry's age. She had tousled brown curls and a few freckles on her nose and cheeks. Her jade eyes were glaring up at me. She had numerous cuts and scrapes on her arms and legs, which I saw, because she was in tattered blue shorts and a ripped black tanktop, despite the cold. She had an angry red gash over her neck. She was quite thin and I could see her ribs.

Some of those gashes looked suspiciously like the ones my mother had inflicted on me with the crucio curse. I shuddered at the memory.

'Are you quite alright?' I asked. 'S fine.' She muttered, but visibly struggled to get up.

'It's not, you must be cold and hungry.' I state. 'I'm not cold, nor hungry!' She hisses defiantly. Her belly chooses that exact moment to rumble and I look at her blue lips.'You are, I live right around the corner. You can accompany me, have some food and warm up.' I offer. 'No need' She replies.

'That or I could call the police!' I propose.
'Your house sounds good!' She exclaims and struggles to get up. 'Good, do you want my jacket?' I offer. 'No!' She deflects.
