Just A Little Note. . . .

I want to take a minute to further talk about some things before we get going here. I know I made a little author's note right at the start, but I usually like keeping that one short(er). Here I'm gonna go a bit more in depth as to exactly what's gonna be going on in this book. So buckle up, buttercups, this might get long.

First of all, I just wanna say that I'm well aware that Hazbin Hotel isn't everyone's cup of tea. This kind of content is a lot different from what I normally put out, and it's okay if you don't like it. That's totally fine. All I ask is that if you stumble across this book and you realize it's not for you, or you know Hazbin isn't your thing, don't hang around just to bash the book. Some people might actually be here to enjoy what's being written - don't ruin the experience.

Secondly - this is a big point here - I know Hazbin Hotel is still fairly new. There hasn't been a lot said officially about any of the characters' origins yet. I am fully aware of this. I'm in no way claiming to know exactly how each character's backstory went. I am not saying I somehow magically know all the details. These stories are gonna be - and I cannot stress this point enough - MY OWN VERSIONS OF THINGS. It's just me letting my imagination run because I've been inspired by different pieces of art and theories I've seen. Not to mention I dove head first into this fandom and have yet to come up for air; this has led to a lot of ideas floating around in my head that I want to start getting out.

Now onto the next big topic issue: Ships. This is something that always causes a huge issue within the community - particularly when it comes to character sexualities and who they get shipped with. This becomes a particularly big issue with any ship involving Alastor. Yes, he's been confirmed to be aro/ace (cue Rosie calling him an "Ace in the Hole"). However, for all you uneducated people out there, aro/ace people can still have relationships! Is it a priority for them or do they seek it out? Hell no. But we'll get more into that rant when it comes time for Alastor's story. The point is, you don't have to agree with every ship people come up with. There are plenty within the fandom that I personally don't agree with. But that doesn't mean you have to be disrespectful about it. I bring this up because I may allude to certain ships within some of the stories, and I know it'll cause a riot. All I'm saying is you don't gotta like it, but you also don't gotta be an asshole about it. End of discussion.

The next real big issue I wanna go over is themes. For anyone familiar with Hazbin Hotel, we're no strangers to being confronted with suggestive and at times uncomfortable themes (*cough, cough* How Valentino treats Angel *cough, cough*). That being said, there's going to be plenty of that scattered throughout these stories. Remember, Hazbin Hotel's primary setting is Hell. No matter how much you like any of our favorite sinners, they were not good people! They ended up in Hell for a reason! Which means none of their stories are gonna be all sunshine and rainbows. Are they gonna be all entirely bad? No. But they're also not gonna have as much good as some of you will be hoping for. Just keep in mind where the show is set before you start complaining. People don't go to Hell for no reason.

Lastly, if there's a character you'd like to see me take on that I haven't covered yet, speak up! Don't be afraid to make a request! I'll be starting with the main cast first - i.e., Angel Dust, Husk, Alastor, Niffty, etc. But don't let that stop you from making a request about a different character. I get to let my imagination really run wild with this book, and I'll keep it going until I either run out of ambition or run out of characters. Whichever comes first.

All that being said, I think we're finally ready to kick this thing off! Like I said before, a brief overview of each character will be given before their story starts (helps the reader get introduced to the character and helps keep things a bit more organized). I'm not sure how long each mini story will be, so bear with me on that part. It'll be a fun thing to figure out together. Just don't be too upset if one character's story is longer than another's. It all comes down to ideas and story flow, guys. I'm just gonna be letting the chips fall where they may.

And with that, I'll see y'all in the pages!
