After finding a chaos emerald in one of the alley ways near her work, Y/n along with her friends are taken on an adventure of a life time, as they help Sonic, Shadow and Silver find the chaos emeralds and defeat Mephilies.

Y/n POV
It had been a busy day at the diner and I was just mopping up the floor whilst letting my mind wonder back to last week, my best friends Sam and Nicki told me that Saga had just announced that they will be doing a remake of Sonic 06, not only that they will be making a limited edition expansion pack to go along with the game when it releases and being the fans we are we were super hyped, especially me for Sonic 06 was my second favourite game even with all the glitches, and being the hard core gamer/YouTuber I am, I just had to get it, so I started taking extra shifts and doing over time at the diner to save up for it.
The sound of Mrs Johnson coming into the diner brought me out of my thoughts, I noticed that she had her coat on and was looking worry.
"Hey Mrs J, are you okay?, you look worried, is everything all right?"
(Sigh) "I'm fine pet, I just got a call from the hospital, my husband fell down the stairs"
"What! That's terrible, is he okay?"
"Yes he's fine, he just has a brocken wrist, I have to go pick him up, I'm sorry to ask you this Y/n, but could you lock up for me"
"Of course Mrs J, you go on ahead, I'll take care of everything"
"Oh thank you Y/n, I'll see you on Monday"
"Night Mrs J, tell your husband that I hope he gets better soon"
"I will"
Mrs Johnson handed me the keys before leaving the diner and got into her car, I continued mopping the floor before cleaning the tables and chairs, when I was done I put away the cleaning equipment and did a final sweep around the diner, checking that everything was switched off and ready for tomorrow before heading to the locker room to fetch my backpack.
Grabbing my backpack from my locker I made my way threw the diner and out the front doors, locked them behind me. But just as I was about to turn and head home I saw somthing falling from the sky, first I thought it was a shooting star but I noticed that this shooting star was red and heading straight towards me.
'That's not a shooting star'
The red star flew past and landed some were in one of the alley ways with a loud bang, worried that someone might have gotten hurt I ran over luckily no one was around and saw that one of the old dumpsters was bent out of shape with a red glowing from the inside, cautiously I walked over and peered inside and was shocked, instead of a star, there laying amongst the rubbish was a chaos emerald, a red chaos emerald glowing in all its glory.

Carfully I picked it up, I was expecting it to be cold but was surprised to find that it was warm to the touch, my heart pounded in excitement as I brushed off some of the dirt, ignoring the smell. I started in wonder at the gem, it was absolutely beautiful, the way it glowed and sparkled in the light, it was perfect, I suddenly realised were I was and my excitement turnd into dread as I glanced around to see if anyone was around before quickly shoving the emerald into my backpack and making a mad dash for home.
By the time I got there I was panting like crazy and my legs felt like jelly, I took in a few beep breaths to carm my pounding heart, I've had a weak heart since I was a kid, so I had to be careful when running. When I was carm I fished out my keys from my apron pocket and quickly opend my door, I sighed in relief as I closed the door behind me, locking it and kicking off my shoes.
I walked into my room, placing my backpack on my bed and changed out of my uniform and into my pajamas, I took out the chaos emerald out of my backpack and carried it along with my uniform into the kitchen. I tossed my uniform into the washing machine switching it on, whilst the my uniform was washing I went to my fridge freezer and taking out a ready meal, noticing that it was almost empty.
'I better go grocery shopping tomorrow'
Closing the door I stuck the meal into the microwave, as it was cooking I filled up the sink with warm water and soap and carfuly started washing the emerald with a soft cloth, once I was sure all the dirt and smell was gone I used a clean towel to dry it off before going back to my room and placing it safely in my bedside table draw. When I got back to the kitchen the microwave alarm went off, using my oven gloves I took out the meal and pealed off the plastic film, taking a fork out from one of the draws I went to the living room and sat down on the couch, turning on the TV and watched a movie.
Two hours later
After watching the second movie of the night I felt my eye lids grow heavy, so I switched off the TV and took my now empty meal and fork into the kitchen, I threw away the meal and placed the fork in the sink I went back to my room and crawled onto my bed and under the covers, I switched off my lamps and snuggled into my pillow.
For the next hour I tossed and turnd in my bed, even though I was tired, my mind just refused to switch off as the events of what happened in the alley way replayed in my mind, sighing I rolled over and reached for my side table draw and taking out the emerald, I staird at it whilst turning it over in my hand, taking in every detail, questions began filling my mind.
'I can't believe that I'm holding a chaos emerald, a real chaos emerald! But that's impossible, the chaos emeralds aren't real, there from the Sonic games, but here it is, right in my hand, some how they've become real and if this one is real, does this mean the others are too? Anyways what ever the reason I know I must keep it safe, if it ever got into the wrong hands, who knows what could happen'
"I don't know why your here, but I promise I'll keep you safe"
I heald the emerald close to my chest and closed my eyes, it's warmth sweet wringing helping me drift off to sleep.
Normal POV
Unbeknownst to Y/n she was being watched from the rooftops by three hedgehogs.
"Is it her, is she the one Silver?"
"Yes, she's the one Sonic, I can sense the power with in her, she is the key to defeat Mephilies"
"Great, now that we found her, we should see if we can find the chaos emeralds"
"I agree, but now that we found her we have to keep watch on her, if Mephilies finds out about her, he will surely kill her"
"Your right Shadow, one of us should stay here and keep an eye on her whilst the others will search for the chaos emeralds and also try to find Mephilies"
"Sounds like a plan, so who's going to stay and watch the girl?"
"I will"
"Really?! You sure Shadow"
"Yes, I'm sure"
"Well all right then, contact us if anything happens"
"Sure"
"Have fun, come on Silver let's go"
"Right"
So Sonic and Silver left to search the city, leaving Shadow alone on the roof to watch over Y/n, he sat down on the edge of the roof and made himself comfortable, planing to remaind there for the whole night, as Y/n slept a golden glow appeared on the back of her right hand and a strange mark slowly apired and grew up her arm.
