Chapter 4 Pizza anyone

We got back to my place in record time with Shadows speed, quickly I took out my keys I opend the door ushering Shadow inside whilst glancing around making sure no one saw us before heading inside. I lead him into my kitchen/ livingroom and quickly I  took off my shoes and placed my bag on to the coffee table.

"Did anyone see us"

"No I don't think so"

"Good"

"I hope Sonic and Silver are okay, how long do you think they'll get here?"

"Not long, but it depends how far away they are, but knowing faker he would probably be here soon along with Silver"

"Hehe yeah, oh would you like some tea or coffee whilst you wait for them"

"Sure, I'll have a coffee"

I went to the kitchen and put on the kettle whilst taking out four mugs from one of the cupburds, I saw Shadow sit down on one of the stools and watching me closely.

"What's wrong? Is there something on my face"

"Uh, no nothings wrong"

"Okay, do you take milk or sugar with your coffee"

"Just two sugars please"

"Go it"

(Knock, knock)

"Oh, that must be them"

"I'll get it"

Shadow went to let them in whilst I continued making the tea and coffee, the kettle soon finished boiling and I pored the water into the mugs, I heard voices before Shadow soon came back with Sonic and Silver.

"Hey guys, welcome to my humble abode, would you like some tea or coffee"

"Thanks"

"Yes, thank you...um, sorry we didn't get your name"

"Oh sorry, my name is Y/n"

"Nice to meet you Y/n, I'm Silver"

"And I'm Sonic, Sonic the hedgehog"

"Yeah I know, it's nice to meet you both, please make yourselves at home"

They both nodded and I watched as I saw Sonic speed over and jump on the couch whilst Silver joind Shadow at the kitchen counter. Once I finished making the drinks I passed two of them to Shadow and Silver before giving Sonic his, I joined Silver and Shadow at the kitchen counter with my own mug of tea.

"Okay, so now that we've introduced are selves, would you like to tell me what's going on, like how you got here and why Mephilies was trying to kill me"

"I'll explain, a few days ago I heard that there had been multiple reports and sightings of Mephilies, so I decided to investigate the locations that Mephilies was sighted, I realised that most of the locations were old ruins and that's when I discovered a murals on the walls that told the story of two human mages that sealed away a evil creater that tryed to destroy and take over the wold, that's when I contacted Sonic and Shadow and informed them about Mephilies and what I discovered"

"And after Silver explained to us what he discovered we figured out that Mephilies was planing to unleash the creature to take over the world, so we formulated a plan and went to gatherer the chaos emeralds"

"I see, were planing to seal him away with the chaos emeralds"

"Yeah and after we gathered all of them we went after him, but we found out pretty quickly that Mephilies had gotten alot stronger and he put up a good fight and even with the power of the chaos emeralds we were out matched and as we were fighting a blue portal apired out of nowhere and sucked us all in along with Mephilies, next thing we knew we were in some burning building, we managed to get out safely but unfortunately we lost track of Mephilies"

"What about the chaos emeralds, what happened to them?"

"They flew away after we turnd back into are normal forms and we've been looking for them ever since, but the question is why would Mephilies attack you"

"Good question, Y/n did Mephilies say anything to you in the alley way when he attacked you"

"Hmm, yes he did, he said something about me having a power, oh also he was after this"

I set down my mug and picked up my bag from the table and took out the draw string bag, I untied the string and let the red emerald fall out of the bag and into the palm of my hand, Sonic, Silver and Shadow eyes widen in surprised.

"No way!, you have a chaos emerald!"

"Were did you find it"

"It crash landed in an alley way near were I work and when I went to take a look, I saw it was a chaos emerald and I took it home and cleaned it up. I knew how powerful it was, so I've been keeping it safe, I'm just glad Shadow saved me before Mephilies found out it was in my bag"

"Woah talk about being lucky"

"Yeah, but that's not all, this morning when I woke up I found this mark on the back of my hand"

I showed them my right hand and they all staird at, Silver gently heald my hand and examining it closely.

"Do you guy's recognise it"

"Yes, it's the same mark that I saw on the mural, this proves that are theory was correct"

"What do you mean?"

"Well we thought that Mephilies was looking for the descendents of the mages, we thought that Mephilies was planing to find their descendents and ues them to break the seal and unleashing the creature, it explains why Mephilies attacked you, he must have sensed your powers and realised that you were their descendent and thinking he could kill two birds with one stone, he could take both your power along with the chaos emerald"

"Wait, so your saying that I'm the descendent of some mages that sealed away a monster that was trying to take over the world"

"Yes and now that Mephilies knows that your their descendent, he'll will come after you at any chance he gets whilst also putting his plan into action, but the problem now is, what is are next course of action is"

We all went silent as the situation sunk in, I glanced at each of their faces and even though they had serious looks on their faces, I could see the worrie in their eyes, seeing this, I just knew I had to help.

"Well, first we need to figure out away to locate the other chaos emeralds, if we find out there exact location will be able to find them before Mephilies does, for now thought you three can stay with me"

"Wait, you mean you'll help us"

"Of course I'll help, there is no way in hell I'm letting Mephilies destroy my home, I may not know how to unlock my powers yet, but with you three to help me, I'm sure I'll figure it out and I'll do my very best to help you"

"Thank you Y/n"

"Yeah, we owe you"

"Yes thank you"

"No problem, now, how about we have dinner, we can discuss what to do tomorrow, for now you free must rest and regain your strength"

"Good idea, I'm starving"

"All right then, how does pizza sound"

So for the rest of the evening we feasted of pizza whilst getting to know my new roommates, Shadow on the other hand stayed silent and bearly talked but I didn't mind, this was just who he was. Once we finished dinner and put the left overs in the fridge, I saw that it was still early so I suggested we watch a few movies before we heading to bed, we all decided to watch the movie Fast and Furious which I knew they would like, I sneeked a quick glances at the three hedgehogs who were completely engrossed by the film, I still could not believe that they were here and sitting on my couch, I would pinch myself to see if I was dreaming, but I didn't incase it was the a dream, smiling I turnd back to the movie.

As we were in the middle of the sequel I noticed that Sonic, Silver and Shadow were almost nodding off to sleep and yawning, glancing at the clock I realised it was almost eleven o'clock.

"Okay guy's, time to call it a night"

I picked up the remote and switched off the tv and lead them to my bedroom, I opend the door and their eyes widened in amazement.

"Welcome to my room guy's"

"Woah, Y/n your room is amazing"

"Thanks, but I can't take all the credit, my friend Sam was the one who helped me design and decorate it and since my apartment is small she suggested I have two bunk beds so her and Nicky can stay over"

"Hey Sonic, check this out"

Sonic ran over to where Silver was checking out my gaming desk along with my shelf full of video games.

"Wow, you have a gaming desk"

"Yeah, I'm a hard core gamer, I even have my own gaming channel, I also write and make my own music too"

"That's so cool, can we watch some of your videos"

"Sure I'll show you some of them tomorrow, but right now we need to get some sleep"

"Right"

I dug through one of my draws and took out three short sleeve t-shirsts and gave them to the guys along with three toothbrushes, I showed them were the bathroom was and they went to get ready, whilst they were changing I quickly got the two bunk beds along with my bed ready, I quickly realised that I only had three bed.

'Looks like I'm sleeping on the couch tonight'

After finishing making the beds I quickly changed into my pajamas whilst also taking out from my wardrobe a spear blanket, pillow and a change of clothes, the boys soon came back from the bathroom now wearing the shirts I gave them and carrying their gloves and shoes.

"Alright you guys, the beds are all made for you, I'll be on the couch if you need anything okay"

"Are you sure?, one of us can sleep on the couch instead"

"Yeah it's fine, don't worry about it"

We wished each other goodnight and I headed back to the living room and made my way to the couch, I layed down and myself comfortable whilst pulling the blanket over my shoulders before closing my eyes and slowly drifting off to sleep.

Shadow's POV

I woke up and glanced at the clock on the night stand, seeing that it was three in the morning, I got up and quietly made my way to the kitchen to get a glass of water, I made it to the kitchen and took out a glass whilst filling it with water. I was about to head back when I stopped mid step and staird at Y/n who was now sleeping peacefuly on the couch, I walked over to her and tucked the blanket back over her shoulders and gently tucked away a strand of hair from her face. I walked away and took one last glance at her before headed back to Y/n's room.
