— BEFORE THERE WAS the gold, the royal merchant, and before pope, jj, john b and kie were 'the pogues', harper maybank, shiloh heyward and josiah routledge were the teenagers that ran around the cut with a bad reputation.
harper maybank was angry. all the time. everyone knew it and she couldn't hide it. she loved her brother and her best friends so much, she didn't quite know what to do about it. her little family meant so much to her, and while sometimes her actions were not 'optimal', they were always done out of love.
shiloh heyward was calm. if harper was the storm, shiloh was the quiet afterward, she was a sister to everyone and no one really had a bad thing to say about her. her dad was a legend on the island, and her mother was the sweetest woman you would ever meet. her and harper had been inseparable since fourth grade, one never seen without the other.
josiah routledge was mysterious. harper and shiloh didn't know him really. he was their brothers best friends brother, which didn't really mean anything at all. he was quiet compared to his brother and his dad. they, surfed, hiked, ran around outside. and he just didn't. harper wanted to get to know him better.

hey guys !!!! i'm so excited for this fic lol, it's something i've had cooking in my brain for a long time, but before i got started i wanted to clarify timeline/ages because otherwise i feel like it could be confusing.
harper and shiloh are 17 at the beginning of the fic and josiah is 18! the pogues are 15. it begins just after the disappearance of big john. so season 1 will be incorporated eventually but not straight away!!!
