It was my last year of high school I got accepted into the colleges of my dream and life has been smooth sailing. My pops otherwise known as xxxtentacion has been the cause of why I've had my life pretty good. Me and my mom never had to struggle financially as we have been able to thrive off of my dad's royalties.
A lot of people expect me to follow in his footsteps one day but I'm choosing to be a producer. Ironic right ? I mean it's not that I can't rap or sing I'd just much rather prefer to make music.
I already learn so much from my titi bettydawl and especially my mom. Before she had me she was a dj herself so she's an OG when it comes to getting a room turnt. Over the years she hasn't put any pressure on me being like my dad either.
" have a good day gek" she kissed my cheek handing me a bento box
" mom you don't have to keep making me lunches you know"
" shush boy no matter what imma take care of you" I shook my head smiling kissing her on the forehead

I drove to school in my toyota even if I had it like that I was always taught to appreciate the simple things in life. I go to west brook high a high school that a lot of celebrity kids go to. Sometimes locals are able to get in too but it's typically through your gpa.
when I walked in I saw my three main friends, david, mario, and austin.
" wassup gek ?" Mario dapped me up
" nothing much can't believe it's really our last year of high school"
" I know feels like yesterday ms fletcher caught me cheating on a test the third week of school freshman year" david remarked
Austin laughed " bruh I remember that shit and your stupid ass ain't even pass" austin and david starting play fighting and I shook my head smiling. My friends definitely were a handful but they were solid.
" hey gek"
I turned to face her already cringing. She was a known thot amongst the school and she been trying to fuck with me the longest. But I've seen and heard how she's done other guys. Besides I want my first relationship to be special with a girl I actually like. So far in all my 18 years I've never had a girlfriend.

well it's because all the girls that have " liked" me only wanted to get close to me because of who's son I am. Of course my dad is a legend but I don't want that to be wanted only for that reason. I'm now my own person my own man. I just wish all these girls weren't the same
" ally look I'm not in the mood today" I said annoyed as I saw her other two friends standing beside her backing her up. They started rambling on which I tuned out when I saw a girl walking in that looked new.
she wore all black and had her hoodie up but I could see her face. I felt my heart racing as me and her made eye contact and just like that she walked away.
It took david and austin to snap me out of it once they realized I had my eyes on someone.
" yo who was that ?" I asked
mario answered somehow he knew everyone at the school including new people " that's ebony she transferred here last week, she don't really talk to nobody"
I made a mental note of that
" I'll say hi to her" I decided to do this at lunch while everyone would be busy talking with each other to notice me go up to her. Like I expected I found her sitting by herself. I felt myself getting nervous as it was the first time in awhile I wasn't sure how to talk to a girl. Normally I never had a problem but with this new girl I wanted to make a good impression.
When I got closer to her I noticed she was reading and listening to music. I sat across from her and she instantly looked up startled.
" whoa I didn't mean to scare you" I put my hands up she looked me up and down
" who are you ?"
that had me a little shocked as it has been a long time since someone didn't recognize who I am. Everyone pretty much knows me but I figured it's because she is new.
" I'm gekyume but everyone usually calls me gek" I stook out my had for her to shake and she awkwardly accepted it
" I'm ebony" she pulled away quickly
" so what you listening too ?"
" sade" my ears perked up
" oh really, when I was little all my mom would play is sade around the house a lot I love her music"
she nodded " I just got into her music last year"
me and Ebony sat there until lunch talking about our likes and dislikes. I couldn't remember the last time I had a genuine conversation with a girl my age. Usually the girls my age I have talked to or talked to me didn't have a personality.
with ebony just this conversation alone I wanted to keep talking to her.
and just like that lunch was over I walked with her to the trash can to throw away our food.
" would you be interested in being friends ?" She looked at me with a shy look
" really ? I never had any before" she looked me up and down again before shrugging her shoulders
" sure see you around" she proceeded to leave to head to class before I realized I forgot something
" wait let's exchange numbers that way we could hang out after school" she obliged pulling out her phone as we exchanged contacts.
" cool I'll call you later" I say as we headed off to our respective classes
