I laugh and shrug, "Yah, it's a bit fucked up."
"You know... you do that a lot. Minimizing it. You laugh and say it's a bit fucked up. I think it's your way of coping. It's a crutch so you don't have to acknowledge how absolutely horrible your life has been. If you can push it off with a laugh, with a 'it's a bit fucked up' you don't actually have to process it and what it has done to you."
My face falls, "Oh."
Oh no.
