Aliens in Atlanta

Chapter 3

With Georgia  gone looking  for a fake fossil, Matthew's plan to take the fossil as his own was on working smoothly so far. That's right he was using his friend  for his own benefit, but  why? It all began  while  they were  on the  Ferry, there he met a man named Fred Daniels. He was also going to the island to look for  rocks.Thn he continued to tell him thay was poor  and was really  looking  to win the contest so he could  his family could  afford a better life.The only problem was he didnt have really  good digging equipmen. Really moved by his story, Matthew felt inclined to help  him.Thinking about how good Georgia was at finding rocks , he figured that he could help find one  for  him. However,  since he wasn't on their team, he decided to secretly go against Georgia In order to help   Fred receive the money he needed.His plan was to let him do all the work and then he would help Georgia  when he found a big fossil. Following that, Fred would walk over and ask his teammate Georgia Davis   for help digging  out what he would say was a  big fossil , which   would just be a  deep hole for him to get trapped in. Then Fred would run back to Mathew and  the two of them would wait for the ship to take them and their bag back home. After hearing his plan the boy really liked it and agreed to go with it.Anyways, as he waited for his new friend to arrive, he  rolled "their" discovery   into Georgia's bag. Once he came strolling joyfully down the beach, the two of them waited paitently for the ferry to come.As they stood there Fred asked to see the fossil and the two of them admired it in all of its beauty.A few minutes later the Ferry came and the boys headed twoards it and walked on  board.Ariving home the boys then quickly drove  together to drop off the fossil at the contest  building before it closed. Along the way they received
gifts of a myriad of  speeding tickets.
Luckily, they figured if they won they'd have enough money to pay it off.pulling up to the building they were shocked to see the long  line  that welcomed them.So  many people were waiting in line  to drop off their fossil.Before the  line grew anymore, they quickly, hopped out of the car, grabbed  their big fossil  and joined the rest of the people. Standing there, they started  to feel really annoyed as they noticed alot of eyes wandering  over to their discovery. After an hour of waiting, it was finally their turn. Walking inside they were guided  by arrow on the  floor which led them to a long row of boxes  that were each labeled with a person or peoples naames.Inside were the fossils they found. Finding an empty one, they carefully placed their fossil inside. Then they found   they found a  marker nearby, and they each wrote their names on it.Finished, the boys smiled at each other  and walked out of the building and  to the car. On the way back to his car Fred thanked Mathew  for his help.Looking at how dark it was now, Mathew thought a little  bit  about Georgia, and wondered  if he ever made it out of the  hole and home from the island since they boared the last ship home.Thimking about this made him feel sick to his  stomach.He couldn't believe he had just turned on his  best friend in the whole wide  world  who thanks to him could be dead.
