Aliens in Atlanta

Chapter 2

The next Day the Georgia and Matt   met up to  and brain  storm a   site for their excavation.Since they had alot of experience in this sort of task, they knew of some  really good locations.Even though they typically only found rocks at these places, he figured finding fossils wouldn't be that hard.  With a game plan set, the dynamic duo set out for their first location which was Main Beach, Little St. Simons Island.On their way, the friends decided to stop at The Epic Restaurant  for  lunch.Walking inside they wre met by what seemed like the whole community sitting at tables and booths.the sound of glasses clinking and conversations  filled the room. A few seconds later a tall woman with long brown hair walked over to them and told them to follow her. She led them through the maine dining area and to this small quiet area where the lound noise from earlier seemed to get swallowed up.Once they all  sat down the woman introduced  herself  and asked them  what they wanted to drink. Scanning  the menue, Georgia's eyes quickly got trans fixed on a chocolate and cocunut Milkshake.When he told the waitress everyone around  him looked at him in shock and horror like he had done something horribly wrong.He knew it was a very interesting combination,but Georgia always into trying new and eccentric things.All of his other friends just ordered soda and water.When the waitress left, tbgrroupstarted talking about plans they had for the rest of break.however, he was talked about some of the other fun plans they each had for the rest of  break.Matt and his  family was spending their  break    at the beach in Florida. He proceeded to tell him  that his dad had bought a boat that they planned to take down there and go water skiing and skubadiving.When Georgia was asked about his plans he said that he was just going to see where the break took him.Before their beverages came everyone peered at the menu to see what they wanted. Georgia decided to go with the his favorite Gumbo.
After Lunch Georgia and Matt continued driving to the loading dock.
Ariving there, they joined the surprisingly small line of people paying for  a Ferry  ride ticket. As they waited  they could  feel and smell the salty ocean  breeze brushing up against them.Seagulls roamed the sky  and some of the dock.Reaching  lady at the desk was  tall,had blonde hair,  blue eyes and spoke in a   very nice tone. When the  ferry arrived, the boys  fought the now large  crowd of people to earn  a spot  on it.Once it had reached its max capacity, the voyage to the island  had begun. Cruising  gently  across the water The boys could really feel the breeze as it made their hair dance. Looking around  at the other passengers he could quickly tell that most of them were there for the same reason they were as they caught a glimpse of their long bags and shuvles that were stapped to their hands.Some people even carried with them a fossils identification book. Looking beside him at where Mathew  wass, he was suprised to see that he was gone.Scannimg the area  like a gawk, he was able to see him talking to a boy and he figured he was just making friends.Aproaching the island the passengers  started to cheer.As soon  as they arrived  they all raced to get off like  people competing for the last store turkey at Thanksgiving.With a myriad of people  flooding the beach , Georgia and Matt
struggled to find a digging site. After an hour of trudging through the cold sand the biys found an open area by a cave.To make the process go faster the two of them split up and started digging. in between  each  pile he unearthed, he would inspect  them  thoroughly to see if he had found any fossils.Searching through  he was able to find some small ones but he wasn't satisfied yet so he kept on digging. Eventually he had created  a huge fortress of sand that slightly trapped him inside. Then something incredible happened when he lifted his next load to reveal apart of what seemed to be a big fossil. Since it was too hard to dig out by himself he called Matt over to help him.Using all the strength they had , the twof them first dug around it and then began to carefully lift it up and out of the hole he had created.Examining it he was thrilled to see that it was a big dinassour fossil.When they were done sweat dripped down their  faces as quick as ice cream on a hot summer day.Tired, Georgia was just about to  take a nice break  from  all his hard work  when a boy who looked odly familiar suddenly walked up to him asking for some with help  digging out their big discovery. Before he left, he instructed Matt to  keep good eye on the fossils so it wouldnt get stollen.He didn't know it at the time but trusting Matt with this  responsibility would  soon be a big mistake.
