All those eyes softened at his heart-touching speech.

The first prince was trying to catch his breath. If he could not control his heart beating, he thought he should at least control his breathing.

"WE'VE HAD ENOUGH"

A desperate scream was well heard from amongst the crowd. Followed by another one.

"WE ENDURED TOO MUCH!"

The voices went louder and louder as each and every one of them had something to say.

Keeping it in must have been exhausting, yet he stood there, giving them back their freedom of speech.

"He is so cool"

Rose said while watching Elmer from afar.

And even though her husband wished to deny it, it was true. He did feel the same.

Not long after that needed rage, the royal knights circled around that area.

Seems like backup was requested once Elmer showed up.

"Get out of my way!"

Most of them shouted at the people of the crowd, as they made their way towards Elmer.

Of course, the villagers were scared and made way for the guards.

"Shit!"

Hawk shouted before he ran towards him, it only took her a few seconds to hold him back.

"Their future leader needs to show them strength, we can't help him now"

Aylin's words did make sense, but that did not prevent both of them from feeling worried.

Even though it was his plan from the very beginning, Elmer could not help smiling as he locked eyes with Louis, Asher, and Ezra while they stood calmly few feet far away from him.

He could read their faces very well, and they were saying that they trusted him.

Right before those men reached him, the first prince pulled his royal sword out.

Elmer stood, surrounded by about twenty guards, all of their blades pointed towards him. With a steely gaze, he tightened his grip on his sword with the weight of responsibility settling on his shoulders.

He was about to prove something, something that would give hope to the people watching him.

The prince was the first to move forward, he was so fast, his feet barely made a sound on the dusty ground. And with a strike that he put his all into, he attacked the first guard, then blew another strike to stop the second one from getting him.

The battle began in earnest as the guards closed in, their strikes coming from all angles. But Elmer's movements were so fluid and precise. And his speed did catch them off guard.

His strikes were calculated, aimed at disabling rather than destroying. And even though the guards fought with all their might, they could not match his skills or determination.

The crowd could not help but put their hearts and souls into watching that battle.

Only a few moments later, not only those swords were thrown on the ground but also their owners.

Not a single scratch left on his body, which did surprise Elmer himself.

The silence was so loud until the crowds started clapping and screaming their lungs out, cheering for their winner prince.

Watching those smiles and hopeful faces dragged Elmer's heart back to an old memory.

Where he stood next to his father watching the people cheering for him, he always wished to be there, and he finally made it.
