As Lena entered through the door of her home, she couldn't help but think of the woman she just met in the elevator. The woman had this aura upon her that made her intriguing. However, she had little time to dwell on the thought of the woman as she was bracing herself to face what lay ahead within her home.

"Mommy!" Came the voice of her son as the pitter-patter of his little feet could be heard on the floor, running towards her. Bending down she embraced her son and held him tight as she felt content when she had him in her arms. The worries of work and the world seemed to melt away. Her mind suddenly brought an image forward into her mind, one she never thought that she would see. It depicted Lena hugging her son but also included Selene as she embraced the two and smiled down at Lena and her son.

She had to shake her head to clear the image from her head as she began to make her way into the kitchen where her mother was preparing to leave for the day.

"Hello, Lena! I prepped some dinner for you and Nico. He was an angel today and put up little to no fuss. He is such a good baby." Replied her mother as she prepped her things.

"Thank you so much for watching him on short notice, I wasn't expecting to get called into a meeting today." Lena couldn't help but be thankful that her mother was nearby and was able to watch Nico when she was unexpectedly called into work. But that is what happens when you are a CEO, you have meetings upon meetings, and rarely is able to have time off. Although Lena was very involved with her company since she took over from her father, and while she worked full-time, she liked to take time for herself and spend time with her son.

It was difficult at times, working so much, but she knew that she was working towards giving her son a future and leaving him with a legacy, much like her father did for her. That's not to say that she would not be supportive should her son choose something else besides running her family's business, as she would support her little angel in whatever he wanted to do in his life.

"So how was work sweetheart?" Lenas' mother spoke, breaking the woman out of her thoughts.

"It was fine, they needed me to decide on what construction company to hire to build our new offices within the city." Lena had decided to hire a construction company that they had hired before to do the work that was required. However, there was one that caught her eye. One that went by the name Nyx Construction.

The name had stuck out to her as she had always had a love for Greek Mythology since she was young. She had found it interesting that the name of the company was named after the goddess of night.

"Well, I am glad that you got it all sorted out. Come on over to the kitchen so you can sit down and eat." Lenas' mother guided her and Nico into the kitchen where she caught sight of the food that sat ready on plates for them to enjoy. She was glad that her mother was here to keep her company along with her son. It had been difficult after Nico's birth and her mother and father had made sure that they were there to help their daughter and grandson as he continued to grow up. However, there was one thing that Lena found herself missing, and that was a partner. She missed having someone there to be with her when she was sad and could comfort her in their own unique way. The way that she would be surprised every day and have help with Nico, the older he got.

Suddenly, an image appeared in her head once again, of the woman Selene and her and Nico together acting like a family. She had to shake that thought from her mind as yet again she had pictured a situation in which the woman she had just met was once again being portrayed within their lives. And oddly enough Lena could not get her mind off of Selene and kept picturing different scenarios in which she was in her and her son's lives. Taking Nico to the beach, watching movies together, and cuddling with each other on the couch during a rainy day. The flurry of images that flashed through her brain gave her a sense of melancholy as she began to think that there was no way that it could ever come true as she had had very little interaction with the tall, muscular, dark-haired woman that has been on her mind since the moment they met.

"What's wrong sweetheart? You seem distracted. Was everything truly okay at work?" Lena's mom asked concerned as she noticed her daughter deep in thought all of a sudden.

"Oh, it's nothing Mother I just happened to meet my new neighbor today in the elevator before I came home. She has the cutest German shepherd, and his name is Atlas. I was thinking of bringing her some food as she has just moved in today." Lenas' mother smiled at her daughter as she could decipher what her daughter truly meant by those words, but she would not admit it yet.

Lena had told her parents long ago that she was attracted to women, yet her past partners never seemed to last long as they could never stand Lena's work schedule and the fact that she had a child. Lenas' mother silently hoped that this meant that her daughter would finally put herself out there once more and allow someone to enter her life again.

"That's a wonderful idea sweetie! I'll prepare a to-go plate so you can take something over to her in a minute." Lena smiled at her mother as she had always been a kind woman and she loved that about her.

"I'll be right back. If you could just watch Nico for me real quick and I'll run this to her real quick." Replied Lena as she attempted to not seem as eager to see the brown-eyed female once again. Lenas' mother nodded her head and used her hands to tell her daughter she could go and run this to Selene.

As Lena made her way out of her door and into the hallway that led to Selene's door, she couldn't help but lean against her door and take in a deep breath as she closed her eyes. She then slowly opened her eyes and began to make her way towards the door that housed the woman who had been on her mind since the moment they met. She questioned herself if Selene had felt the same connection that she had and couldn't get her out of her head as well.

As she arrived at the door she knocked three times on the door and waited in anticipation for the woman to open the door so she may see her once again.

Suddenly she heard the door unlock and saw it begin to open. As the door swung open she got a look at the woman in front of her. Her jacket had been taken off and she had changed into a tanktop that showed off her muscles and the tattoos that adorned her arms as well as a pair of shorts that looked comfortable. Once the door was fully open and Lena could be fully seen, Selene gave her a breathtaking smile as Atlas appeared behind her like a silent shadow, tail wagging behind him as he saw her in the doorway.

"Hello, Lena." Selene smiled at the brunette as she took notice that Lena had removed her jacket but stayed in the suit with a long-sleeved top and pants on, her heels that were on earlier, were traded for a pair of rather comfortable house shoes. It was at that moment that their eyes met and they smiled at each other. However, Lena took notice that she had not spoken yet and then began to speak.

"I brought you some dinner, my mother prepared it for me and there were plenty of leftovers and I figured you could worry about one less thing while unpacking." Lena stood there holding out the plate as Selene shot her a heartbreaking smile and nodded in appreciation as she reached for the plate offered to her.

"Thank you, Lena. This is amazing, I was just beginning to wonder what I was going to do for food when I noticed it was getting late." Selene gently grabbed the plate from her hands and whether it was on purpose or accident, their fingers touched ever so slightly and Lena had to act calm as she felt a slight feeling of electricity coming from their fingers. She wondered silently if Selene had felt anything, but she couldn't read the woman's expression as she stared down at the food before her. The two stood in a comfortable silence before Lena spoke.

"I suppose I better head back, I have a busy day tomorrow." Lena stared at the woman ahead as she spoke those words.

"I better head inside as well so I can eat this delicious-smelling food. Tell your mother I said thank you, and thank you for thinking of bringing me food, I better feed Atlas before he tries to steal my food." Selene smirked down at the dog as they both noticed his intense gaze on the delicious-smelling food that lay in his owners' hands.

"Thank you again, Lena," Selene said as she looked into her eyes.

"It was no problem at all, enjoy." Lena then began to make her way back to her door as she heard Selene begin to close the door slowly the closer that I got to my door. Lena had a feeling that Selene was watching her as she walked away and began to sway her hips slightly. When she arrived at her door, she heard the other door close, confirming her suspicions, and smirked to herself as this confirmed her theory. They both affected each other and they became aware of it the more that they interacted.
