मोहब्बत बन चुकी हैं,
पहले सिर्फ उसे याद करते थे,
अब तो आदत बन चुकी हैं

Meera Rajvansh 's POV

I was busy preparing mungdal halwa in the kitchen because today is a special day for Anu Di because she is competing in a dance competition without telling Baba. This is why I'm preparing her favorite hawal. Suddenly, the phone rang. I kept the gas flame low and went into the living room, picked up the phone, and said

"Hello, Meeru?" When I heard Rajbeer's voice, I looked at my mother, but she wasn't there, so I said

"Why the hell are you calling me now, Raj? Baba is at home, and if he catches us, Di will not be there to help me get out of this situation." For a few minutes, I don't hear anything, so I start to panic and wonder if Rajbeer has hung up. Finally, he speaks in a hushed tone and says,

"My family wants to meet you." I held the spoon tightly in my hand, my heart racing at the thought of meeting Rajbeer's family. I quickly composed myself and replied,

"Why?" Rajbeer sighed and said.

"My family learns about us, and I no longer want to hide anything; I tell them we love each other and want to marry. Now they want to meet you."

"But—"

"Meera, Meera." I put down the phone and turned to face my father, my mind racing with thoughts of how to navigate this unexpected turn of events. He looked at me and asked.

"Where is Anasuya, Meera?" I gulped and looked at the clock, which read eight o'clock. Anasuya Di was supposed to be home by now. I felt a sense of dread creeping in as I realized she was late, and I looked at Baba and said,

"Di is not feeling good, baba; that's why she is resting in her room." He moved towards Di's room, giving me a suspicious look. I followed him, my heart pounding with anxiety, hoping that my quick thinking would buy us some time before he discovered the truth. Ma looked at me nervously as we both went behind him and said

"Baba let her rest for some time." He glared at me, and I remained silent. He opened the door, revealing darkness in the room. As he stepped inside, a feeling of dread washed over me, knowing that the truth would soon be uncovered. I held my breath, waiting for his reaction to what he would find in the darkness. He turned on the light, and I closed my eyes, terrified, knowing that our secret was exposed because no one was in the room. Suddenly I heard.
