The Sidekick

CHAPTER V

     They now stood in silence and looked at the body,now covered with a curious crowd,"i've apologised so much already,what do you want?" he pleaded aswell as being quite frustrated.

   
    "Actually you apologised once,plus i want to finish this mission at all costs,it drives me crazy everytime we can't find him...we had him right in our hands Bose,look what you did.." she pointed to the edge of where Carver fell.

    "I didn't mean to,but will you stop yelling at me..." he said as a tear drips down his cheek,she then took a threatening step towards the male hero,"I CAN YELL AT YOU ALL I WANT,BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU DID WE ARE GOING TO GET SUSPENDED AGAIN!" she screamed and watched her friend whimper,"its not my fault!" he shouted back and lifted a brick unkowingly.

  
    They both stopped screaming at eachother after Volt got hit on her collarbone,which made her lose her balance,"DUDE,WHY!?" she exclaimed as she carefully got up.He stuttered "im so-so sorry....it was a m-mistake i swear","a mistake?,are you sure it wasn't on purpose?" she snapped and walked away,"wait!,Chapa!,Volt!-".

   She stopped walking and turned back "i don't wanna hear a WORD!",she demanded and continued her exit.YOU KNOW WHAT!? I'M GONNA FOLLOW YOU CUZ' I DON'T KNOW MY WAY BACK,YOU HEAR THAT!?" he yelled and followed her all the way back to the Man's Nest.

BACK IN REALITY

    Mika sighed,"this continued since the next day" she giggled and tried to avoid eye contact,"oh,the yelling...it could be my ringtone sometime...".Valen on the other side of the bed felt a bit of sympathy after hearing that,"well we should get back to bed,we have to go to school tomorrow" she told and both of them laid back down,pulled their covers up and fell asleep.

Morning

Mika's POV

   The room got bright which made me wake up from my slumber.I looked down to see if i can wake my new roommate up "psst! Valen,its morning wake up" i patted on her shoulder and to my luck she turned "oh hey...good morning" she said while still being tired."Good morning to you too,now wake up,or we are gonna be late for breakfast and school" I told to her seeing her smile back.I got up and left my room "i hope my parents don't mess this up..."i prayed and walked downstairs to the bathroom and hoped they don't fight in front of our guest.

Valen's POV

 I can't believe what i dreamt last night...is it true?...nahh it couldn't,no i refuse to believe my mother's words!.After a lot of overthinking,i stood up and stretched out my arms but noticed something ugly in the mirror "aah...the bed head,classic" and made a disgusted face.I looked away and walked to my suitcase and got out a brush and started to comb out the knots "there! much better" a relieved me said as i tied it up in a bun.

   

(Downstairs at the Macklin's dining room)

   Valen's foosteps came down the stairs and greeted morning to the Macklin family,"it's so great to finally see you Valen" Angela introduced with a smile,"same goes to you two" as the guest smiled back and sat down next to Mika.

   The classic pancakes and eggs breakfast was served on their plates,as they were putting their food in their plates.

  Angela turned to Herman and yelled "DID YOU FORGET TO TURN OFF THE BARBECUE!?" she sniffed the air and glared at her husband,"yeah...i did-but don't worry i'll go turn it off,just wait..." Herman assured and left for the backyard.
 
   Mika and Miles were starting to feel agitated,they knew a silly fight was going to stir up soon infront of Valen if it does the Valen might not feel safe staying here.
 
    Minutes passed and Herman came back and sat down "there we are,no more smell and turned off the barbecue" he announced and shoved his fork in the pancakes,"yeah great...as long as they're happy we are not gonna make a fool out of ourselves" Miles whispered to Mika.
