Four months later

Gabriel was still busy with work. After months of filming, he finally understood why his contract was for two years. He hadn't asked many questions back then, he trusted Ben. But now, everything clicked into place.

"Ahh," he muttered to himself, as the pieces fell together.

Meanwhile, Sab had been just as busy with her own projects. But finally, she got a month off, no events, no brand shoots, no overseas travel. Just time. She didn't think twice, she booked a flight to Australia.

Emily and Mandy were all for it. They drove her to the airport, hugged her tight, and waved her off with excited smiles.

After nearly 16 hours in the air, the plane landed.

Sab stepped out, took a deep breath, and smiled.

"I'm in the future," she texted the group chat.

"LMAOOO," replied Mandy.
"What?" said Emily.
A second later—"Ahhh ohhh LOL"

Sab chuckled, shaking her head.

"Have the best time, Sabbie!" Mandy sent.
"Enjoyyyyy!" Emily added.

"Thanks, guys! I'm just gonna grab an Uber and head to his place."

"Good luckkkk!"
"Good luck!"

Before heading over, Sab checked into a hotel to drop off her luggage and freshen up. After a quick rest, she called a ride.

Thirty minutes later, she arrived on set.

There were cameras everywhere. Trailers. Crew with clipboards and headsets. Boom mics above a group of actors. She stood quietly at a distance, watching them work.

Then, she spotted Gabriel.

He was in the middle of a scene, talking to a guy and a girl. The boom mic hovered just above them. Suddenly, Gabriel turned, then turned back sharply and punched the guy.

The girl screamed, rushing to the man's side. Gabriel scoffed, shaking his head as he stormed off.

The girl followed Gabriel, her voice raised just enough for Sab to notice but not enough to hear what she was saying.

Sab stood quietly in the distance, watching the scene unfold. She couldn't hear their conversation, but something about the tension made her stay and keep observing.

Just then, one of the crew members noticed her and approached with a curious smile.

"Sabrina?" she asked.

Sab smiled back. "Hi. Yes, that's me."

"I'm Trix, Gabriel's makeup artist," the woman introduced warmly. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to surprise him," Sab said, chuckling. "But it looks like he's still filming."

"Aww, that's so sweet," Trix grinned. "Don't worry, he's almost done with this scene before we move to the next setup."

"That's okay, I can wait. It's really nice to meet you, Trix."

"You too. Gabriel talks about you all the time."

"Really?" Sab raised a brow, amused.

"Oh yeah," Trix laughed. "That man loves you, girl. You're all he ever brings up when he's not talking about work."

They chatted as Trix led her to Gabriel's trailer. After a few minutes, Trix left Sab to wait inside.

Sab sat on the couch, but after a while, boredom crept in. She stood up and wandered around the trailer, her fingers trailing along the edges of counters and shelves. Her eyes landed on Gabriel's phone in the drawer. Curious, she picked it up. There were a few missed notifications, one from Kirby, a message from his mom, and another from Brody. She didn't open anything. Just set it back down and reached for her own phone instead.
