Chapter 2

Shinichi sighed to himself looking from his home office's window to the garden outside, mind lost in the thought of him finally getting the chance to save his clan, finally getting the chance to protect his mother and little sister; it had been three months since he went through the ceremony that acknowledges him as the head of the Shirosaki clan, and things start changing... Slowly, everything was changing... his sister no longer shivered in fear as she tiptoed into their house, fearing that their father was waiting for her in one of the corners. His beautiful mother finally was able to talk to his family in Germany, finally rebuilding the bridges that were burned a long time ago by his despicable father, his mother was originally from Germany but was forced to be the perfect mate after his monster of a father killed his mother's true mate; only because he saw something he wanted, his father became a madman, to get what he wanted and damned the consequences... sometimes, Shinichi wonders how the police hadn't caught him yet, or how he hadn't slipped up and exposed himself, but knowing how incompetent the police was and how important the Shirosaki clan was, Shinichi knew how his father went under the radar for this long.

Shinichi gazed at the moon that was shining through the window before he looked at his desk to see the ruby that was sitting on it, a ruby that was rumored to shine beautifully when the lights hit it at a specific angle. This was the sixty gem Shinichi was able to steal in the hope of finding Pandora in the past couple of weeks; being a Yakuza boss has its perks, and gathering information and executing everything perfectly was one of them, even if the information was buried deep down that no one could find.

Shinichi took the jewel in his hand, inspecting it and turning it around; it was big, he would admit, roughly the size of his palm, it made Shinichi hum and turned his chair a little so that he was facing the window with a bored look on his face, he then raised the jewel, trying not to get his hope again in the fear of them dashing if this jewel wasn't Pandora.

The moonlight shone on the jewel and against his will Shinichi held his breath as his heart started pounding in his chest a little bit; a few seconds passed, and no change happened, the gem didn't shine red, nor any other color, and Shinichi had to stop himself from throwing the gem at the wall and see it break into many tiny pieces. He just let a sigh through his nose and stood up from his chair, putting the gem on his desk as he went to his violin.

His white violin was originally his mother's before his mother was forced into this nightmare; his mother from what he managed to discover was a free spirit who loved music, and he was mated to the love of his life, a cello player who played in the same orchestra as his mother. Unfortunately for the pair, his father had attended one of the events they played in, and his demonic eyes spotted his beautiful mother performing that night... the rest as they said is history... His father managed to corner the pair one day before they left to return to their home in Germany killing his mother's husband, and forcing his mother into this hell; the reason that his mother couldn't run at that time and any other time, was because he was pregnant with his first child, Ichiro. The man Shinichi resembled so much, the man who Shinichi was told by his little sister Shinichi could be his twin if they stood side by side; from what he understood, his mother did whatever his father wanted, to protect his only child, that turned into children when his sister was born; it always amazed Shinichi how big his mother's heart was for not hating his sister or later him when most of his suffering came from trying to protect his children.
