Yamaha Masamune: Somewhere in the land we all know, in the world known as the Raphtalia's world. Not much is known about the ancient history of Raphtalia's World. Not much is known about the ancient history of Raphtalia's World. It is known that this world was once four separate Worlds - the worlds of the Legendary Shield, Bow, Sword, and Spear. However, these worlds have merged due to the waves of calamity (which have been happening and reoccurring even since ancient times). First, the Shield world merged with the Bow world while the Sword world merged with the Spear World. Afterward, the Shield/Bow world merged with the Sword/Spear world. The Shield/Bow world is where demi-humans and beastmen come from while the Sword/Spear world is where humans come from.

Yamaha Masamune: Somewhere in the heart city of them all in Rapthalia's world. At the heart of the city known as Castle Town. It's populated by the humans, demi-humans, and beastmen. For many years, Melromarc's official religion and church was the Church of the Three Heroes. This church was a splinter faction that originated from the Church of the Four Heroes. However, instead of worshiping all four heroes, they worship the Sword, Spear, and Bow Heroes while demonizing the Shield Hero. Melty hypothesizes the hatred against the shield may stem from Naofumi's actions in the ancient past aiding Mamoru.
