"For the first time I dont know what to do"

I arrived to Luna's and stopped to catch my breath even though I was still panting when I rang her doorbell. The door was flung open by Mrs.Griffin. "Why hello there Raven darling how are you? Oh and happy birthday!"
"Hi! Thanks! Is Luna home?"
"Yes she is. I will call her right now. Oh come in dear. how silly of me to forget!"
I followed her inside and I heard Luna coming down the stairs.
"Hi Raven! Come on let's go to my room."
We now went up the stairs and I could tell that we were in a hurry. Once we reached her room she said
" Okay Raven what happened?"
"How did you know? I mean I was trying to hide it the best I could"
"I know you too well." was her only reply. Reluctantly I took out the package from my bag.

"So I was starting to come to your house and I found this at my doorstep and when I showed it to my mom she did nothing but said not to worry. And you know that she always explains everything. So now I think it has something to do with my father. Oh Luna! What am I to do?!"
"Okay so first, calm down. You know that in situations like this you get really exasperated so you need to breathe in. Yes I agree your moms behavior is strange and that it might have something to do with your dad since she never talks about him. But you never know. It is possible that it is just a present sent from a long lost cousin or something. I mean, did you even open it?"
"No" I replied glumly.
"Well that is the first thing we shall do before we make any assumptions."
"Okay"
We slowly unwrapped the package. Inside there was a box.
"Well then, go ahead, open it" urged Luna.
I closed my eyes and lifted the lid of the box. We both peered inside and after one look we quickly closed the box and threw it to the floor.
"What the marshmallow?!"
"I am cursed! What was that about? What does it even mean?!"
"I don't know"
"Well your the one with the ideas! I came to you for help as well as because you are my best friend! You are supposed to know what to do!"
"Well then. For the first time, I don't know what to do"
