"I don't think we should get married."

She says averting her eyes away.

"What the-"

"I don't think I can betray your family!" She jerks to a stand and pushes past me to the kitchen. I follow her.

"If you are backing out you shouldn't have agreed to the deal in the first place." I say my voice turning hard at her refusal.

I thought everything went smoothly but clearly I was wrong. I can't understand how this girl's mind works.

"I didn't know you had such a lovely family!" She searches for a glass, pouring water she drinks it and I cage her from her behind.

Keeping my both arms on the counter beside her hips I lean into her and whisper, "Are you a coward, sweetheart?" My lips touches her earlobe and she shudders.

"N-no." Her voice shakes.

"Then do. Not. Back. Out." I hiss through my teeth.

She turns towards me and noticing how close we are her breath grows shallow, "I- I can't hurt your family." She whispers in a vulnerable tone.

I lean down to her and she keeps a palm on my chest. For the first time in my life it beats wildly. Like it's trying to come off my ribcage.

Tiny sparks of electricity goes off in my body. The air crackles with tension.

I lean forward our lips a hair's breath away, "If you drop the deal now, they'll be even more hurt. They would even think that they scared you off." Her eyes widen with realization.

If I leaned just a little closer I can touch her upper lip.

She breathes me in, "So think before you act." I say but my focus is on her lips.

Her eyes darts to my lips and at the same time she licks her lips making it glossy.

My mind goes in a mad drive.

Despite my knowledge my hand travels to her spine in a feather soft touch and her eyes flutter closed.

I settle my palm over her nape to draw her closer. The moment I touch her there she freezes. Like complete surrender. I don't think she's breathing.
