I was sitting in my room when my sister called me. I answered setting my phone up against my pillow and lying flatly on my stomach.

"What do you want?" I asked her teasingly.

"Girl shut up I kinda miss you, but not really"

"Aww my sweet baby sister misses me"

"Shut up I'm never talking to you again."

"I love you too bookie"

Maleigh rolled her eyes at me.

"Okay okay not to much"

I laughed

"Anyways how are you loving your new schoolllll?"

"I'm actually thriving here. I haven't played any basketball yet, but I should soon."

"That's great, how's your girlfriend?"

"For the last time Maleigh, she's NOT my girlfriend for real!"

"Whatever you sayyyy" she said with a teasing look on her face.

"Don't piss me off"

"Why don't you like her Ann?"

    "As much as the world would love for Paige and I to be in love, that will simply just not be happening. We would never work. Let's be honest we are from too different worlds."

"Girl no you're not. Y'all are both the biggest names in WBB. You just don't wanna accept it"

"No I know, but like we were rivals for so long and overall I'm not too fond of her."

"Why? Tell me everything." She said placing her phone upright on her desk and sitting in her chair.

"She is stuck in the whole "dating" thing. And literally the other day she had the audacity to argue with me."

"About?" Maleigh raised her eyebrows not looking at her phone.

"She lied to me and you know I hate liars."

"You lie to me all the time though."

"Yeah cause you're my sister and it's usually about food or clothes so it doesn't count"

"Mhhh yeah it does but anyways."

"Yeah anyways the fuck. She walked me to class because we had the same class. And then she was like "what class do you have next?" And I was like I don't have one right now and she was like "me neither" BUT THEN. Her friend ,I think, walked up and was like our next class is that way."

"So she basically lied to you about not having class?"

"Yes"

"That's stupid. You can't be mad at her for that Ann"

"I know, but like why lie? You could have just told the truth. So now I'm going to think she's a liar."

"You shouldn't. Give her a chanceeee"

"I guess. Well I'm going on a walk I'll FaceTime you after, if you're still awake."

"I'm going to a party, but I'll try to answer."

"Let's pray you don't get pregnant or have kidney failure."

"Yeah" Maleigh laughed.

"Love you"

"Love you too"

   I hung up and climbed off my bed. I put on some work out clothes and my running shoes. Ever since I was younger I would always go on walks and midnight runs. I would sneak out of the house quietly and sneakily trying to avoid any cameras. And then once I reached the mailbox I would just run and run. I was never scared. It was nice to just be free from the world.

   I started off with a light jog. I admired the scenery and the sounds of the world. Then I found myself at the dormitory's. Hmm it couldn't hurt if I explored, right? I walked in, nodding my head to the lady at the front desk who gave me a smile in return. I headed into the elevator something told me to go to the fifth floor. I clicked the button and felt the elevator start to move.

   I heard a ding and before I knew it the doors were opening. The dorms were actually kinda hotel looking. I wandered around mindlessly. But then I heard footsteps. They were moving at a rapid pace moving... back and forth? I tiptoed towards the sound. As I got closer and peaked around the corner and saw....Paige. She looked like a mess. Her hair was down and wavy and she was in basketball shorts and a UConn hoodie. It was clear that she was in distress. I approached her, and she quickly looked up, breaking from her trance.

"Bueckers." I said.

"Noel"

"Are you-"

And before I could finish, the girl who stood before me was gone. After she addressed me she walked off into,what I presume is her dorm, and slammed the door shut.

O-kay..

How rude. And y'all are over here talking about some "give her a chance". We seem to be making the best of progress😒.
