"Why do you guys need couples therapy like, hello?" Lauren joked and I groaned shoving my head into the couch.
"Would you shut up with that shit already please." After talking Lauren through the whole situation, I knew exactly why I got so riled up. I hated the feeling of rejection, feeling like I was not enough to appreciate.
"You care what she thinks about you, don't you?"
"No." I mumbled into the couch. Of course I did.
"It's okay Dev, you're going to be okay." I sat up quickly and sniffed dramatically, deciding I was done being sad over a middle aged woman that knew nothing about me.
"Yeah, yeah. You wanna get drunk?" Laurens face broke into a smile,
"Here we go! Okay so Sam is throwing a party tonight at her uncles place, you trying to stay the night it's Friday ?" I considered but remembered I had work in the morning,
"I have work early in the morning. I'll get an Uber back?" Lauren smiled and hugged me,
"You have no idea how much I love drinking with you!" I pushed her off of me and smiled,
"I think I have a bit of an idea." I winked at her and she hid her face in her hands,
"It was one time Dev, one!"
