Idiots In Love

Gemini and Ford had separated from Fourth and Satang that afternoon to attend their final class of the day and agreed to meet at the Japanese restaurant at the mall. All of their other friends would meet them there. It was a way for them to catch up on their lives before they started drinking and singing off pitch later on at the karaoke bar.

They were the last to arrive and, as usual, Fourth had reserved a seat for Gemini next to him. Gemini willed his heart not to flutter because that was just how Fourth was. He was his best friend and thus paid extra attention to him and overall took great care of him. Gemini also tried his hardest to take care of Fourth in his own simple ways.

"Hey guys, what did we miss?" Ford asked after they took their seats.

"Oh, Fotfot over here broke up with his latest partner." Dunk explained, and Gemini was a little surprised by this. Fourth didn't mention anything to him. In fact, Fourth didn't even seem like a person who got dumped.

"It's nothing." Fourth replied and clearly was looking uncomfortable.

"It's not nothing. How many times have you been dumped since freshman year, dude?" Joong asked.

"One too many times. I would say maybe you should try dating men, buddy." Mark commented.

"Oh, but he has remember, Justin." Phuwin added.

"And Podd." Pond chimed in.

Gemini vaguely remembers Justin. He has never met him, but he remembers his name being mentioned in association with Fourth. He remembers Podd as well. He met the guy once, and he immediately didn't like him. And it wasn't because he was secretly in love with Fourth, but something just felt off about the guy.

"Stop slut shaming the poor fellow." Dunk said, and everyone started laughing. Well everyone except for Gemini because despite his best friend laughing he could see how uncomfortable he was.

"It's not slut shaming we are just simply being truthful. Did he or did he not hook up with all those people?" Pond asked.

"I don't know what your definition of hooking up means, but I did not engage in- uhm - intimate affairs with any of those people." Fourth said, and Gemini noticed how his ears turned bright red and his already pink cheeks turned a vivid red colour.

"Intimate affairs?" Mark asked with furrowed brows, "You mean sex?"

At that Fourth's whole neck flushed a red colour his ears scarlett red by now. They were so red it seemed like they would be hot to touch.

"Dude, are you a virgin?" Joong asked, and Gemini looked at Fourth for an answer because he too was curious. He never liked to think of Fourth having sex with all escapades but then again who would indulge in thinking about the people they are in love with being intimate with other people.

"So what if I am? To some of us sex is a very intimate thing, and I would prefer to have it with someone I really cared about." Fourth said defensively, and Gemini could see how he was avoiding meeting his eyes.

"Nothing to be embarrassed about Fotfot. I totally get it." Phuwin said, and the others hummed and nodded in agreement.

"Besides, you are not the only virgin in our group. I am pretty sure your best friend over there is as pure as a flower." Mark said, turning the conversation over to Gemini even though he has done nothing to warrant any of this.

"Now that you have said it. I have never seen Gemini with anyone. I bet he has never had his first kiss." Joong chimed in.

Although Gemini has never dated anyone before, he has had his first kiss. In their final year of high school, when this cute girl in their grade, Kathy asked him to go to prom together. Fourth had insisted that Kathy liked Gemini and usual at prom dates would end up making out at the schools bathroom or something like that.
