AUTHOR'S NOTE

Hello and Welcome to 'The Alchemy'! My name is Aurora but you can call me Rory! This is probably self-evident but I am the author!

This book was honestly a bit impromptu and hit me suddenly. Most longer books that I write are quite a long time coming and have been accumulating in my mind for years. This one, however, has in some ways but not in others. I have attempted a Katsuki Bakugo book before but never published it as I felt as if it wasn't a complete thought. This, however, I feel is.

I'm not saying it's a masterpiece. Honestly, it's far from it. There is a main plot but a lot I will be coming up with as I write which is unusual for me. I usually plot every detail and pre-write as far as I can in advance. I'm honestly quite excited to try a new approach.

All of that to say, however, please bear with me if there are errors. I use Wattpad as practice for my writing techniques so I may try new things or things may seem odd at times. However, I will try to make it as uniform and coherent as I can!

I also tend to overthink what I write and worry if people will enjoy it. That tends to lead me to change certain things in my stories that I truly love and want. So, I am using this story to attempt to shake that habit. That is why Y/n will be a Yagi! I've always wanted to attempt to tackle a reality where All Might has a daughter and I know that can be a slippery slope sometimes but I promise I will try my hardest to do it well.

I also want to say before the story begins, I am going to try my best to stay true to the plot and keep Bakugo as in character as I possibly can. Part of my approach to fan fiction is the thought of, 'What would this world be like if only one person was added?'. A thought sort of contrary to, 'What would it be like if I wasn't here?'. So I like to stay true to the original story and only change what I feel is necessary. I will try to capture Bakugo falling in love, All Might as a father, and the class with another member as true to the characters as I can. I hope to encompass the idea of there being an additional person and all of the change that can affect and not affect characters and stories.

My final thought before the story begins is, that I am making some things about Y/n specific (which will be clarified below). I will try to be as general as I possibly can but as a writer, I truly like to dive into characters, especially my own. That's the joy of writing. Telling the stories of people and making their complexities and specifics and getting to communicate that. So there are things that may not apply to you specifically and I apologize. I still hope you find resignation and enjoyment in the story! However, do know that I do not make specifics that do not have purposes in the story.
