the next 2 days flew by, she loved what she did but she would never admit out loud that this was exhausting. the second day she did not do much. she went to the event and came home to sleep until one of her streamer friends woke her up by phone call to go out to eat. after that she returned back to her hotel once again to continue sleeping, resulting in an uneventful day.
the last day she knew she couldn't do the same thing, knowing she has to leave for her 8:30am flight the day after her short lived trip. twitchcon hosted another after party for all the creators to say their goodbyes to each other at a nice restaurant patio in the city they rented out. everyone was expected to wear something nice, but didn't have to be too fancy.

she ubered with emma and a couple of her friends marley was not close to at all, if anything she was uncomfortable for once. the girls emma brought along made it obvious they didn't want anything to do with marley, and she wondered why emma would bring her around them. she wasn't upset, but kept to herself until they arrived around 8pm.
it was already dark outside, the dim lights from inside shined out the window, lighting up the sidewalk as they walked in. marley walked behind the 3 girls, knowing she will make a run for the bar as soon as she steps foot onto the patio. the patio was lit up by string lights and decorated with beautiful shrubbery.
she looked around the semi crowded place and spotted it, basically bolting to it. she stood next to the tall man, tapping his fingers against the wooden counter. taking a glance, she furrowed her brows to notice it was ted.
"ted?" she questioned him, catching his attention.
"marley?"
"have you been here all weekend?"
"yeah i've just been running around like crazy"
"that's so weird, i had no idea. schlatt never even mentioned you being here" they caught up for a good while, both sipping on the drinks.
"excited to go home?"
"yeah, i can't stand the city to be honest. i'm also just not a fan of the people" she sighed, leaning her elbow on the counter and slumping over in the bar chair.
"the people? like who?"
"not the fans, just some creators. they can get cliquey i guess. maybe it's just a girl thing"
"no, i completely understand that"
"some people have really been great though, so i can't complain"
"i mean you seemed to be having fun with the group boys the other day"
"oh my god- don't get me started on them. they are crazy, but i really like hanging out with them. i was actually gonna try and find them soon probably" she sat up a bit, scanning the room around her.
