Chapter 1

Rover decided to take you to the City of Jinzhou, to meet his friends and help you get a checkup. You assure the man that you're feeling fine but he insists.

You cannot argue with him when he gave you those pleading eyes. Making you give in and his eyes sparkle after that.

You're walking side by side with Rover, your eyes look at the beautiful scenery that you won't able to see back on your world. Like getting fresh air for once.

For your whole life, you've been raised in a bustling city. It's quite rare for you to travel outside of your city unless you have a school or family trip but that was when you were a child.

You didn't notice the black haired stop walking, resulting in you running into him. "Ah, sorry!" you apologize. All of a sudden, Rover holds out his hand. "Stay behind me!" he said. You take a peek over his shoulder and your eyes widen at the sight of monsters before the two of you.

Out of nowhere, a sword manifests in his hand as he dashes forward. Attacking and dodging swiftly as the monsters attack him. He parries one of the monster's weapons, causing the monster to stagger as Rover slices the monster down.

You watch in awe at the sight of him fighting, it's like you're watching a live action anime, like for real!

He slays the last monster as it disappears into dusts, you look your left and right making sure there's no more monsters before running up to him.

"You're so amazing, Rover!" you beames. "You go swoosh! and bam! and whoosh!" you said with sparkles and admiration in your eyes. This causes Rover to blush slightly at your praises, he gives you a smile. "Thanks" he said. He gets praised a lot by everyone in Huanglong and he got used to it.

Somehow he finds it cute how you praise him. Anyways....

His eyes gaze to the sky, the sun is setting down. It's dangerous to roam in the dark, Rover is fine on his own but he has you with him and he doesn't want a civilian to get hurt.

"The numbers of Tacet Discords have increased faster than expected, let's get to the city before the sun sets" he said, looking at you.

'Tacet... Discords? Are those what the monsters are called?' you thought. You feel yourself being picked up, it was Rover, "W-what are you doing?" you questioned him.

"It's faster if I carry you this way, so hold on tight" he said, shifting you in his hold as your arms quickly wrap around his neck. He makes a sprint and damn, he's fast like a ninja.

He jumps over obstacles and uses some wire and swings himself over large gaps, like spiderman. The wind is slapping your face and you hold back your scream, you ain't screaming in his ears and he might drop you on accident.

Before you know it, both of you have arrived at the city gate. He gently sets you down as you hold on to his shirt, your legs kinda forget what land feels for a moment.

"That...was fast..." you said, blinking. "Sorry, are you alright?" Rover apologized, holding your hand. "Yeah, I'm fine. No need to worry" you said, patting his hand. You finally notice that the two of you are holding hands, you and Rover let go and look away.

Well that was awkward.

Rover clears his throat, "Anyways, (Y/n). Welcome to the City of Jinzhou" he said with a smile. Your eyes widen and you stare at the city in awe, it's so....beautiful.

It's like a chinese palace mixed with sci-fi technology, how cool is that.

"Let's head to Huaxu Academy, where we will give you a check-up" Rover said. "Rover!!!!" a voice calls out. You turn to the source and see a red head running towards your direction, waving her hand with a huge smile on her face. Her eyes collide with you before smiling even more brighter.
