01.

For the past hour i've done nothing but stare at my laptop, Im on my 2nd cup of coffee yet still have no idea what to write next.

"You okay Mary?"

Tony, the same barrista Ive been coming to every day for the past year and is one of the very few people Ive grown a connection with as Im quite shy, approach's me with a look of pity and warmth.

"Just having writers block,"

I sigh out of frustration.

"I haven't been able to write any new chapters in TWO WEEKS."

"Maybe If you would stop being so mysterious and just tell me what your books about then I could give you some Ideas"

He says It in a playful way but I hate when he asks what my books about.

I strictly only write about romance because I love the sweetness and butterflies I feel as I write it.

But although me and Tony are close, I wouldn't want him to tease me about all the lovey dovey scenes in it.

Yessss,
maybe you can say Im a hopeless romantic and have been sitting In this exact spot every day, drinking the same drink for the past year, waiting for my prince charming to walk In and sweep me off my feet, but that's a secret for me and the other hopeless romantics that purchase my books from the local book store.

I meet eyes with the tall, muscular, tatted, guy across the cafe.

And maybe I do have an Idea for who that prince charming should be, but no one needs to know that but me, myself, and I.

"OoOoOo I see you giving Mr. tattoos googly eyes! againnn."

and maybeee Tony has caught on but I can still deny it.

"I was NOT giving him googly eyes."

"were too."

"were not."

"were too."

I roll my eyes and focus back on my book.

"I win!"
Tony exclaims like a dork.

"Okayyy Tony. You should get back to work, I wouldn't want your boss yelling at you In front of everyone like last time."

I laugh but Tony never finds that memory funny. Its fun to tease him about though.

The book i've been working on Is about 2 best friends, a guy and a girl, and the guy secretly falls for the girl but doesn't want to ruin their friendship so never tells her. The first half was so easy for me to write, but now, In the middle of the book, I seem to be stuck.

Tony says It could be because Its been a full 2 years since I've even had romance In my life, but I don't think thats true.

Romance livesss In me.
Romance IS me. All of my loyal readers know that.

I've set up this website called
"Mary me" get it? Because my names Mary and to Marry someone is what you do when you're deeply in love and want to spend the rest of your life with that person.

you get it.

Anyway's the website is a way for me and my readers to interact. I get feedback and so many sweet compliments on my work. There's this one specific user on there that's read everyy one of my books and leaves amazinggg and touching compliments on each of them, I regret making the anonymous feature on there almost every day.

Since I was little writing was my passion, from comics, to short stories, to the school plays, and finally, my senior year of high school, I wrote my first ACTUAL book.

Yes, it flopped, but thats not the point,

the point is i wrote it.

And now Its how I afford my studio apartment and my cat Cookie.

Speaking of Cookie I need to get back to her, she probably misses me.

Or maybe thats just an excuse to give up writing for today,

Oh well!

I gather my things into my book bag and head out the door and to my apartment.
