" Heyyy. We are hitting the road, wanna come?" Rafael asked, sitting on the bed next to me.
"I'll pass. I'm a little tired from all the drinking and partying last night." I said, pulling the covers over my shoulder.
"I'm really sorry you had to switch rooms-"
"Rafael, it's fine. Really." I smiled.
Yesterday, after the party and all, we all retired to our assigned rooms. Mine was besides Rafael. It has always been that way. Until Cassie. She started ranting about how she can't sleep in a room without an air conditioner and on and on and on.
Rafael asked if I could switch rooms with her. I accepted, called Jonah and told him to take my things to the other floor.
"You sure you don't wanna join us?" He asked, caressing my face.
"Hmmm."
"What do you want? Chocolate ice cream?" He asked, throwing me a, ' I know you want one' look.
"With three scoops please." I added.
"We'll be right up. " He said, pecking my cheeks before leaving, closing the door behind him.
A few minutes later, I got up from the bed and headed to the window. They were all getting in their cars. Turns out the vans headed back home and the chauffers brought them their vehicles.
Rafael was standing next to Hillary and Cassie, talking joyfully, Rafael's and Cassie's hands intertwined. Huh?
"Camila, your bath is ready." Said a voice behind me, startling me.
"Huh?"
"The shower in this room isn't working. Sir Rafael assigned someone to come fix it together with the air conditioner. It will be ready by tonight." She clarified.
I nodded my head absentmindedly and headed towards the ensuite to grab my showering basket.
Brianna was still standing at the entrance, a frown on her face when I came out of the ensuite.
"What?" I asked, placing the basket on top of the bed and faced her.
"I know I'm in no position to question your relationship with sir Rafael but....Are you guys okay?" She asked, closing the door and joined me on the bed.
Brianna and I develop a form of friendship from the moment I met her the first time I set foot in this mansion. She worked with her mom, but as soon as her mom retired, she worked here full time. She was a darling and outspoken.
"We are fine." I answered, unsure of what I just said.
"Really?" I could sense she did not believe what just came out of my mouth.
"Really what?" I asked, facing her.
" I mean it's just weird. Why did he give Cassie your room and assigned you to this one, knowing too well it doesn't have an air conditioner and the showers aren't working. Why couldn't he assign some other guy up here? Why did it have to be you?"
"I don't know what you mean. Those people are his guests Brianna. They deserve good accommodation." I said, walking over to the closet.
"And you are his girlfriend Camila. You should be getting the best accomodation. You should come first." She urgued, standing next to me.
"Look Brianna," I started, facing her. " I appreciate the point you are trying to drive out. I really do. But please, stop meddling in my business. Especially my relationship." I continued.
Her face dropped as she moved out of my way. I walked towards the bed, took the basket and was heading towards the door when she said, "Rafael didn't sleep In his room last night."
