The first thing that he saw was darkness. Not surprising, as he had just broke out of a mental hospital with his cell mate and had been running through the woods for about an hour non stop, trying to find a way out of it. He turned to Darren, eyes wide.
"This can't be happening. All this running and where did it get us? Nowhere!" He said, annoyed, as he sat down on the floor. His eyes drifted to the sky, wondering what he did to offend God to get in this hell, when Darren spoke.
"Sometimes bad things happen to good people. Now I don't know if you're deranged, paranoid, or what, but you always gotta remember this kid. No matter what, never stray from the trail you're walking. I did that, and look where it got me. Now when we get out of here, I don't know where we are, so I think it's best if we stick together until we get the lay of the land, you happy with that kid?"
Y/N smiled at him and nodded. "Fine with me old man." He got up off the ground and looked at the moon. He squinted, looking in the middle and saw a faint silver line leading from the moon moving through the woods. He quickly turned to Darren.
"Hey, I think I know a way out of here, let's go!" He turned and sprinted away, following the silver moonlight.
"God damn it" Darren muttered as he got up and ran after.
