Chapter 13 (I can't leave)

It was a seemingly ordinary day in Taehyung's mansion, the sun casting golden rays through the grand windows, bathing the room in warm light. You sat at the breakfast table, sipping your tea and idly flipping through a book, when a sudden question pierced the calm.

How did I end up in this mansion?

The thought echoed through your mind, sending a shiver down your spine. You tried to push it aside, to focus on the mundane tasks of the day, but it lingered, a persistent whisper at the back of your mind.

As the day wore on, you couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled over you like a heavy blanket. You tried to broach the subject with Taehyung, to ask him how you had come to be in his mansion, but he always seemed to deflect, his answers vague and evasive.

At first, you brushed it off as nothing more than a fleeting curiosity, a passing thought to be dismissed. But as the hours stretched on and Taehyung's avoidance grew more pronounced, a seed of doubt took root in your mind.

Was it possible that Taehyung had kidnapped you? That you were being held against your will in this luxurious prison?

The thought sent a chill down your spine, but try as you might, you couldn't shake it. The pieces of the puzzle seemed to click into place, forming a picture that you were afraid to see.

And then, just as the sun dipped below the horizon and the shadows lengthened, you made a decision. You couldn't stay in this mansion a moment longer, not when the truth threatened to consume you.

With a heart heavy with dread, you fled, racing through the halls and out into the night.

The moon hung high in the night sky, casting an eerie glow over the landscape. You were running, your breaths coming in short, panicked gasps. The gravel path beneath your feet crunched loudly in the silent night as you darted through the thick forest surrounding Taehyung's mansion.

You glanced over your shoulder, the mansion's dark silhouette looming ominously in the distance. Fear gripped your heart as Taehyung's voice echoed through the trees, a mix of desperation and anger.

"Come back! You can't run from me!" His words sent a shiver down your spine, but you forced yourself to push onward, weaving through the dense foliage.

Branches snagged at your clothes and scratched your skin, but you barely felt the pain. Your mind was focused on one thing: escape. Whatever had driven you to this point, the terror of the moment eclipsed all else.

You stumbled over a root, nearly falling, but managed to catch yourself against a tree trunk. Your body screamed in protest, muscles burning from the exertion, but you couldn't stop. You had to get away.

Taehyung's voice grew louder, closer. "Don't make me do this, please!" His tone held a note of pleading now, but you couldn't afford to let it sway you. There was too much at stake.

You darted forward again, your pace frantic. The trees seemed to close in around you, their shadows twisting and turning in the moonlight. Each step felt like it was taking you deeper into a labyrinth from which there might be no escape.

Suddenly, you burst into a small clearing, the open space feeling both liberating and terrifying. You paused, trying to catch your breath and get your bearings. The forest around you was silent, save for the sound of your own ragged breathing and the distant call of night creatures.

But the silence was shattered by Taehyung's approaching footsteps. You spun around, your heart pounding in your chest. He emerged from the trees, his eyes glowing with a mix of fury and desperation.

"Why are you running from me?" he shouted, his voice raw with emotion. "What are you so afraid of?"

You didn't answer, your chest heaving as you backed away. The look in his eyes was both familiar and foreign, a wild intensity that sent a chill down your spine.

"You don't understand," he said, stepping closer. "I can't let you go. Not like this."

Panic surged through you, and you turned to run again. But before you could take a step, he was there, his supernatural speed closing the distance in an instant. His hands gripped your arms, holding you in place.

"Listen to me," he said, his voice softer now but no less intense. "Whatever it is, we can fix it. Together."

Tears welled in your eyes as you struggled against his hold. "I can't," you whispered, the weight of whatever had happened pressing down on you like a physical force. "I can't stay."

Taehyung's face twisted in anguish, and for a moment, you saw the man you had come to care for, the one who had made you feel safe and cherished. But the moment passed, and his grip tightened.

"You're not leaving me," he said, his tone resolute. "I won't let you."

As you stared into his eyes, the forest around you seemed to close in, the night air thick with tension and unresolved emotions. The future was uncertain, and the path ahead filled with shadows and secrets.

"Taehyung," you whispered, the name a soft melody on your lips.

He turned to you, his eyes alight with warmth and affection. "Yes, my love?" he replied, his voice a gentle caress in the night air.

You stepped closer, the distance between you fading into nothingness. "I just wanted to say...," you began, your heart pounding in your chest.

He reached out, his hand finding yours, fingers intertwining in a silent promise. "You don't have to say anything," he murmured, his gaze never leaving yours.

"But I want to," you insisted, your voice barely a whisper.

He smiled, a tender expression that made your heart swell with emotion. "Then speak, my love. I'm listening."

You took a deep breath, gathering your thoughts like scattered petals in the wind. "I never knew love could feel like this," you confessed, your voice trembling with raw emotion. "With you, it's like... like coming home after a lifetime of wandering. Like finding the missing piece of my soul."

Tears glistened in your eyes, reflecting the moonlight like shimmering diamonds. Taehyung reached out, wiping them away with gentle fingers.

"You are my light in the darkness," you continued, your words a fervent declaration of love. "My anchor in a sea of uncertainty. I don't know what tomorrow holds, but as long as I have you by my side, I know everything will be okay. And..And I can't leave you"

Taehyung pulled you close, enveloping you in his embrace, his heartbeat echoing yours in a symphony of love and longing. "I feel the same way," he whispered, his lips brushing against your ear. "With you, I am whole. With you, I am home."

And in that moment, surrounded by the beauty of the night and the warmth of each other's love, you knew that no matter what trials lay ahead, as long as you were together, you could weather any storm.
