I see a life
A life I wish
One of only dreams
One I cannot dismiss.
A life of friendship
And one of kind
All I ask,
Is for someone to oblige.
These people around me
I'm one of many
One of many, people again
The people don't see
What's on the inside.
It's the inside that matters.
What matters is what we can't see.
What they see:
A broken piece
Of the beautiful picture
Of love and of peace.
The beginning of a story
Of cold and alone
A girl on her own,
Is a girl of unspoken potential.
I know I'm not perfect
But I know what is true.
No one is perfect,
And neither are you.
I don't care that you're great.
I don't care that you're cool.
I need respect
Just like you.
I know you can't see
What's inside.
But that does not mean
That it is not there.
I have feelings.
Those of scared
And of sad and of loneliness
They've not always been there.
My problems aren't all mine.
They can be yours too,
If they are your fault,
You need to help too.
I'm not invisible.
I know that I'm here,
I you can see me,
And I know you can hear.
My broken pieces,
Aren't all my fault.
Just because my life isn't as bad as yours,
Doesn't mean it isn't miserable.
You can't break me
And expect me not to care.
