Look guys, I saw something that had a lot of reads and I quite enjoyed it myself. It wasn't about Umbrella Academy but it was a romance like this novel I'm writing. Sorry, I haven't been on. I'm very busy. I might not finish Beyond The Surf. Anyway...
*(Note) I am writing this not knowing what happens in season 4 and since I ended the last chapter at the end of season 3, I have to predict what happens. I'm not going to wait till August 8th to write more. I'm going to keep writing and include things from that season in this when it comes out. I haven't read anything so if I accidentally spoil it I'm sorry. It's just ideas!*
"Where do you wanna go Five?" "Well, it's a city basically named after Dad everything is going to be boring."
"Not unless I become a poll dancer or something."
"No, you're not doing that."
"Ok well, what's a starter job?" "I got it. A bartender and I could be a waiter." You take a moment and look him up and down. "We need somewhere to sleep though." "Yeah, I know."
When you walk for a little, you tell him how he looks older and taller. "I know it's weird. It's like he sped up the timeline. You do too you know." It appears you did.
You two walk down the cold streets of the city and come to a park. There is a gazebo there. "Let's sleep here for tonight and start fresh tomorrow." He takes his coat and wraps it around you. You're wearing a short skirt, stockings, and a red crop top. It's freezing outside. He kisses your cheek softly and you lean on his shoulder.
In the morning, you set off to look for a job. There is a club in the city and they were thankfully taking workers.
As you walk to the boss of the place, weird guys are giving you looks. Five looks at them back and moves you closer to him.
In the back, there is a man at the counter. "You looking for a job?" "Yes actually, do you have any needs for positions in bartender and waiter?" "I certainly do," he hands Five a card and it says interview at 1:00 PM today.
When you walk out of there, you say, "That was easy." "It sure was."
The interview went well and you both got the job.
"Hey! Hey! Five!" Someone shouts from behind you. It was Lila. "Oh shit I thought you guys broke up after she betrayed you." "No it's alright." "Well if you need a place to sleep, I have enough money for a hotel you guys can stay in. It isn't a fancy suite though. Anyway, here is your keycard." She hands him a silver card. He takes it and puts it in his pocket. "Thanks Lila. Care to tell where it is?" "Right. Go down that road, take a right and it's next to the subway. There is not stations from here so just take an uber or walk." "Thank you so much Lila," you say. Then she hugs you. "Stay safe out there." Five nods at her and we carry on with the day.
"This seems like a really long walk you know." You're already complaining. "Yeah and the way Lila described it, it seemed like it was close." "She has no sense of direction." You both laugh.
*In the hotel room*
"One bed huh?" You say. "It appears so." "Whoever gets there first gets it!" You both run to the bed but get there the same time." "Ok fine. We'll share." He smiles at you.
*In the morning*
"Shit Five! We're late!" "No, no, no!" You bolt out the door and don't stop for breakfast. Luckily, your boss let's you go and let's you work. But he stops you before you leave, "The days over at 10:30 tonight." You nod to him.
"Damn that's late." "I know."
*On your break at 8:50*
Five is sitting down at a table with a Margarita. "Want one?" "I'm so tired. But sure." He hands you a blue raspberry one. The moment you sip it, it feels like time stops and you drink it all in seconds. "Don't drink it so fast. You already had drinks at the bar didn't you?" "Do you even know me? Of course I did."
*Over time, your relationship gets better with him. It is now 4 years later. He is 17 and you are 17 but if you prefer to pick your age you can. I picture him looking the same his hair a tiny bit longer. Your still living in the hotel but you have a suite that you've had for the past year and you haven't seen anyone else since the night Lila gave Five the keycard.--------- From this point on, I recommend it mature because I read A Court Of Thorns and Roses and really enjoyed it so this is your warning. One last thing, I will probably be writing like 15 chapters then it's over. If I get more votes I will make a second book. Anyway, read at your own risk. XOXO -Ava*
As your walking home from a restaurant, you decide to take the subway. "You got any money on you?" "Y/n if I didn't why would I suggest us ride the subway." He rolls his eyes in frustration. It was always a thing he did.
The station is modern-looking. It also has odd writing on the wall. You don't understand it and neither does Five.

"If this train doesn't come I'm walking and your god damn free to come with me if you'd like." He waits impatientley. "Ok, well I'm waiting." And in just a minute later when Five is about to leave, it comes. "Here come on," you take his hand and sit somewhere on the train. The train is filled with people. But for some reason, it appears to be that every time you go through an enclosed space, the lights go off. When they turn back on, there are fewer passengers than before.
It comes to a stop at another station. This one looked more old. It also didn't have the weird designs on the walls. You take his hand and both walk out. You lean on his shoulder but he pushes it off. "Something's on fire. Come here," you walk out with him and the world is in ashes. Like the apocalypse. Nothing left.
