The train station is odd. It always had been. But the writing on the wall was different than before when you went and saw the apocalypse. Unfortunately, there are still unreadable directions.

"We should just go in," you admit. Everyone gives a questioning look but goes in.

The train starts up and gets moving. It speeds around corners but after a few minutes, it comes to a halt at a different station. It's a ghost town like before. "What's this place?" Luther questions. Before you respond, Alison yells from afar, "Look! It's y/n!" Five had mentioned your dead body but you'd never want to see it in person. Is that what you'd end up like?

Lila scans the place, looking all over for any sign of life. "Guys I think we should gather stuff to look around. We're not ready to go in here." You pounder her response before saying, "I agree. We have been driving for what feels like days now. Let's all just go home and get ready to venture here."
Everyone goes home.

At night, you're scrolling through your phone. An ad pops up about a psychic. A question appears in your head, what would the future be if Five saw your dead body in the apocalypse of the future? This came for a very cheap price. Although it looks like you aged six years, you still look only eighteen. A disguise would be good when going into this.

"Five?" You call out. The walls of the room echo as he responds, "Yeah?" "I found something. Come look at this," you show him the people online and explain why you want to go. He pauses for a moment, "You believe they are going to tell us the future? That's bullshit." "Hey just because you don't believe me doesn't mean we can't give it a shot. We have to at least try." "Fine. Why do we always have to try what you want?" "One, stop acting like it's a big deal and two, we make choices together now. Remember?" He sits down beside you running a hand through his hair."I remember.... Okay-" he scoffs, "we can try. But if it doesn't work, I want the money back." "Deal."

The next evening, you two go to the psychics. The disguises weren't the best but they did the job. Five wore a long coat jacket and a hat with a mustache to complete the look. And your look was a simple red dress. From what you could see, Five looked like he enjoyed you in the dress. But for some reason, didn't say anything about it. Glasses to finish it off. They wouldn't recognize you. Probably...

 Probably

You pull up to the address they give you and it's an old apartment building. Most likely where the grandparents live, but these two were middle-aged.

More people were there than you expected. You didn't look into it too much to find that this was a group of people.

The girl leading the operation hands you both a name tag and a marker. "Please write your names then stick it on your clothes. We want everyone to be a family here." You nod to her and take the name tags and marker.

"What name should I do?" You ask Five. You had not been prepared to come up with names. "Uh... Nancy? I don't know." "I think I'll go with that. Ooh! You can be Jerome." He thinks about the decision before writing 'Jerome' and sticking it on his coat. "Sounds good. Shall we get our seats, Nancy?" He extends his arm to you and you take it. "Acting like an old couple is hard," you murmur to him. "It's a good thing we aren't there yet." "Only if we could stay young forever," you laugh.

"Everyone please take your seats. Our topic today is about how this universe is a lie." The people in the room gasped when the old man said it. The woman introduces herself as Edith. She also introduces the man wrapping her arm around him, "This man right here is my husband, Cecil. We are here to share our beliefs about the universe." Cecil starts to speak first, "You all know the Umbrella Academy? Reginald Hargreeve's adopted children? Well, we've done the research and in another universe, they appear to have powers. You know what else? There is also something called the Sparrow Academy?" He says questionably. "Anyways, what we're saying is that there is a parallel universe. If we could venture to it, we could change the world!" The small crowd cheers. When it stops, you ask, "And can we venture to it?" The woman studies you. It seems she recognizes you. But you both had never met. She answers for him, "We haven't quite figured that out yet. But you look familiar, what's your name?" You pause for a moment trying to recall the name you made up. "N- Nancy." "Huh," she proceeds to continue on the speech they made. They believe an apocalypse is coming. But what would be the cause?

When it ended, Edith came up to you and Five asking if you two could stay. Wanting to know more, you stay.

"I know you. You little bitch!" She yells staring into your eyes. "Okay! Hey! Alright!" Cecil stops her before she can say more. Just when he's about to defend you more, he looks at Five. "Oh shit. Is- Is your name Five Hargreeves?" "Why do you want to know?" Cecil sighs, "We are onto something and we believe you might be the cause of the end of the world as we know it. Did you travel through time?" "I did..." "It's not just you that's the end of the world, it's your whole family. But if you would please, bring your family here on Sunday at 10:30 AM. We have some questions for you." "Okay. Yup got it!" You stop them before anything else happens. "We're going Five. Have a nice rest of your day!"

"Y/n, there was no need to rush." "Oh sorry Five, it's not like we just got caught and they were looking for more information about us. No! Not at all!" You say sarcastically. "Hey calm down," He cups your face in his hand. "We aren't in danger. Don't go straight to problems. It's a bad habit." He lightly kisses you and then smiles. "You're distracting me. I can't think." "Oh my gosh, can we just get home and then talk about this?" "Yeah, it's a little late anyway."

When you're making a simple late dinner, you can't help but think about another apocalypse. It's been four years since you got back from twenty straight days running and attempting to stop apocalypses.

"What's for dinner?" Even though it wasn't much since it was so late, you proceeded to tell him, "Uh, spaghetti." "That's my favorite." You knew but you never cooked it. "It's always good when you make it. This is like the first time." "I'd want to see what you make. It's probably good."

*At the table*

"The silence is horrible," Five acknowledges. "Yeah. I don't know what to talk about." "I have something. What was your life like before you came to the Sparrow Academy?" He studies the features of your face. "Well, my mom died the day I was born when she had me. So goodbye to my parents. My dad was an alcoholic so the police didn't want me to be around him and they put me up for adoption. Then, I was adopted by a family who had a farm. But for some reason, I was taken away, I was kind of pulled into a space vortex thing. I don't really know." He laughs after you say that. You never really did know much. "After that, people did tests on me for I believe, years. I come back and Dad comes and prepares me to meet all of you. I looked younger than everyone in my family. But after that, you kind of forget about past trauma. It's not there anymore." He takes both of your plates to the sink. "Just because it's in the past, doesn't mean it's gone forever. You can't just let it go. Don't protest against me to let it go either. I can't have you holding something in like that forever. Or however long we have until the world ends again." He puts his hand out for you, "Let's go to bed okay?" You nod.

He holds you as you sit next to him. Five brushes your hair with his fingers, "Have you ever thought about the future? Well before we knew about an apocalypse. If we ever had a family? If we ever got married or something?" "All the time," you yawn. You start to doze to sleep forgetting what he said after that.

*So sorry for getting this to you late. I just had no motivation. I tried to make the chapter as long as I could but still made sure it flowed well. I do love writing but it's pressuring since I have stuff to prepare for school next year. Who else is ready for season 4? I can't wait to know what happens. Guessing what happens is hard and also another part of why I have no motivation. But I will try hard to get as much out as I can. I was also thinking about a new title and cover so that might come out soon.*

XOXO -Ava :)
