Geet’s POV:-
Rishi and I picked Aarav from his school and returned home after a small detour to the bakery. Aarav asked for some cake pops.
We returned home and everyone was still in the living room discussing about something.
“Are Rishi, Geet, aagaye beta. Yaha aao.” Dadi Ji said as soon as she spotted us.
“Ji Dadi. Kuch kaam tha?” Rishi asked.
“Kuch kaam nahi tha, kuch batana tha. Parso tum dono ka ek aur reception rakhneka soch rahe hai. Company ke employees ke liye aur apne business partners ke liye. Saare functions mai sirf relatives ko bulaya tha na. To tum dono kuch socho apne outfits ke baare mai. Baki ke sab arrangements hum log kar denge.” Saurabh Bhai said.
“Okay, parso hai na?” Rishi asked.
“Ha, aur Geet, tum apne family aur doston ko bhi invite karna. Unka hona bhi to jaroori hai humare liye.” Papa Ji said.
“Ji Papa. Mai Ghar pe phone karke aati hu.” I said and went towards my room.
I called Papa and he picked up on the first ring.
“Hello Beta. Kaisi ho?” Papa asked.
“Mai thik hu papa, aap sab kaise ho?” I asked.
“Hum bhi thik hai. Ghar khali khali lag raha hai beta. Ek sannata sa chaa rakha hai. Tumhari yaad aarahi hai sabko.” Papa said, sniffling.
“Mujhe bhi aap sabki bohot yaad aarahi hai. Aap rona nahi papa. Mai abhi aayi hu aapse milne.” I replied, grabbing my car keys.
“Are beta nahi nahi, vahi raho. Kal hi to gayi ho shaadi karke. Ek din bhi pura nahi hua hai bete. Ab wo bhi to tumhara hi ghar hai na. Tum Pag Phero ke liye aaogi tab jitna mann kare utne din rehna yaha pe.” Papa said.
“Ji Papa. Are ha, ek baat batani thi aapko. Parso ek aur reception rakha hai, Rishi ke office employee aur business partners ke liye. Aap sabko invitation dena tha. Aap jaroor aana. Sab log aana.” I said, remembering why I had called him in the first place.
“Okay, jaisa meri Princess kahegi. Sab aayenge. Accha Geet, aaj pehli rasoi pe kya banaya tumne?” Papa asked.
“Aloo ke parathe, Gobi ke parathe, cheese masala sandwich, cheesecake aur gulab jamun. Aur dopeher ke liye lunch ki bhi thodi bohot tayari karke rakhi thi.” I replied.
“Ruk ruk, Teri Mummy ko bulata hu, usse batana ye sab. Khush ho jayegi.” Papa said, chuckling and called mumma over.
“Geet, kaisi ho beta? Sab thik hai na?” Mumma asked me.
“Ha mumma, sab thik hai. Aapko parso aana hai reception party pe. Papa ko bataya hai Maine, wo aapko batadenge sab.” I said.
We talked on the phone for a while and I heard Prisha and Priyank in the background. “Chachu! Didi hai?! Hume bhi baat karni hai!!!” they both yelled together.
I talked to them as well, more like listened to their complaints about how they both irritate each other. I moved to the balcony while talking on the phone. One by one everyone in the house talked to me and I hung up after like an hour.
“Kaise hai ghar pe sab?” Rishi asked, leaning against the balcony door, smiling at me.
“Thik hai sab, Papa ko bol Diya maine, aajayenge sab parso. Fir vaise hi Pag Phero ke liye Ghar jaungi.” I replied.
