Chapter 21

ARTEMIS' POV

When the scene unfold in front of me, my whole body trembled in sight. I was panting and my eyes were flaring in furious when I saw how injured Leigh got who is now kneeling before Aideen's who lay on the ground. My heart feels like it's going to explode due to the fading sound of Aideen's heart. When I thought I was the only one who could feel it, I was wrong.

We all felt it. I can feel the other's dismay, worries, anger, and their thirst for blood when we felt the fading connection with Aideen. She didn't only save Leigh but also the people around her, that includes Sofia who is now missing in our sight.

"I can't feel her pulse, what should I do, Artemis? Fuck, can somebody..." Leigh is panicking, I had to hold myself back from hugging her and comfort her because Aideen badly needs medical attention.

"Hades! Zaryl! damn it. Everyone or somebody, help Leigh to bring Aideen in the car and guard them until they arrive at the mansion, now!" I screamed and I know they all heard it even though we all scattered around the places.

Just like I thought Keidon landed on the ground beside us, he's sweating bullets and the blood stains were all over his shirt. The ground almost collapsed due to the impact of Keidon's power. His eyes darkened when he saw our fellow younger Mythian's state. A hint of mass murder flickered in his eyes.

"Lethe, get the fuck here now." Keidon said and he pushed through to carry Aideen in his arms. Within seconds, Hades teleported with Lethe, a serious look is all that Lethe took to understand what it meant. She ran towards Keidon inside the car. Lethe can't revive Aideen without proper medical equipment but she can make Aideen's stability prolong with her healing water.

"Eisha, Avianna, and I will guard the car from outside. We will follow it until we make sure no enemies surround it." In the blink of an eye, Zaryl was here beside me. I can hear the running and sweep of wind due to the speed of Eisha and Avianna, this means they're now in position to hide in the shadows while following the car where Aideen, Keidon, and Lethe were in.

Zaryl vanished in our sight which means he's not backing up with Eisha and Avianna.

"Artemis, you find Sofia and don't stop no matter what. Athena and I will find M while Dionysus handles the remaining agents." Hades affirmed and I nodded right away. I was supposed to make my move when Leigh grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards her body.

Hades sighed and gave us a side eye.

"You only have 30 seconds before we depart. M might have captured Sofia already, we can't afford that from happening." Hades said with a serious tone before he also vanished.

"Fuck him." Leigh said as she took my lips fully with hers. I groaned and returned her kisses, before I deepened it, she let go. Her hand was on my nape and she pulled my face towards her. She rested her forehead with mine, her breath getting shallow.

"I'm trusting Sofia with you since you're a hunter. Take her away from that bitch even if it means you both get to nowhere, you understand? I'll find you, Artemis. I always will." she stared at my eyes full of intensity. I nodded my head. She sighed in relief and kissed my head. I closed my eyes and I felt all the tiredness disappear.

"Now, go." she pushed me away from her, I know she's afraid that she couldn't hold herself back from trapping me with her.

I didn't look behind for one more time because seeing her full of injuries feels like drinking a shatter of glasses. I sprint so fast and I leaped so high until I landed on the top of the building. I shut all of my senses and sharpen my sight and hearing senses. The wind strengthens around me and causes my hair to move. I closed my eyes as I felt all the things in the atmosphere, the wind, sun, auras, and others.
