music and art is something that should be shared to the world. each form of art tells a story that no one else but the creators knows.
and well, in art school, you meet all kinds of people. from alt kids to preppy and everything in between; everyone is unique in their own way and they all have their own story.
with a school like tokyogeidai, there's no surprise that the school has enough funding for new buildings every few years; always expanding the campus for the students.
but this leads to old buildings and classrooms being forgotten and no longer in use.
over the years, students of every department started to use these empty classrooms as a sort of club room for them and their friends.
in the old science building on the south side of campus, on the 6th floor at the end of a hallway - is an empty classroom that has been completely transformed into a space of music.
music sheets scattered on the floor, aux cords tangled up in every corner, extra guitar strings and drumsticks in the cupboards, enough soda to last a month.
and the sound of laughter that fills up the entire floor.
in this room, is four friends trying to change the music industry with their homemade studio located in an abandoned classroom at their prestigious university.
they call themselves retro!

"quit scrolling on social media, kuroo!" whines oikawa, kicking his singer's leg.
"what's the rush? kageyama isn't even here yet,"
"you do realize we don't need kageyama to be here to start practicing, right?" laughed bokuto. curious, he peaked over his best friend's shoulder to see what he was doing. "who you stalking?"
kuroo turns off his phone, flicking bokuto's nose. "literally none of your business."
"always hiding stuff from us," terushima giggles, tuning his guitar.
and with that, the classroom door burst open, revealing a tired and sweaty kageyama.
"finally." oikawa rolls his eyes, going over to his underclassmen and fixing his hair. "what took you so long, tobio?"
kageyama lightly slaps oikawa's hand away, "i woke up late," he mumbles.
the four boys all laughed. "that's our kageyama for you," terushima said between chuckles.
now that their dearest underclassmen is here, the four boys got to their places.
bokuto behind the drums, oikawa on the bass with terushima on the opposite side on the guitar, and in the middle is kuroo - also with a guitar strapped around him standing in front of the mic.
kageyama set up the camera, making sure it's recording so they can look back on the footage. he gave them a thumbs up and got out of frame to sit down.
bokuto gave a count down and beat, meaning it was time to roll.
their jewelry glistened underneath their makeshift studio light. you can tell each and every one of them are putting their 100 energy into this practice.
and no matter how many times kageyama has watched them perform, he is never not in awe by his seniors.
this band was created more as a gag than anything else. they were young, dumb, and 16 - thinking if they create a band, all the girls would love them.
